Should someone be fired from their job and threatened with violence, torture, even death because they have an opinion different than yours? Of course not. And yet, that is what Adam M. Smith of Arizona says happened to him.
Adam Smiths life has been turned upside-down in the 36 hours that followed his posting the video of his protest at Chick-fil-A, which involved letting a young, female employee at the drive-thru know what he thinks about the company.

They don't understand that it's not their difference of opinion, it's the way that opinion is delivered.
This guy will be working for a labor union in no time flat. Thug is as thug does.
Eggsackly....!
Actions have consequences, Adam. People do stupid stuff all the time, you’re just the temporary president of that club. Get over it.
And next time, maybe think twice about messing with us racist homophobe Hitler-worshiping right wing gun clinger nuts /sarc
Or at least have the common sense not to video yourself making an ass of yourself.
In the first video, she makes reference to the Bible, and specific verses. In the follow-up, however, she says this is not about the Bible. Then why mention it, goofball?
Or her Father. But none of them were there at the time. If I were her Father, he should be looking behind him all the time.
While I don’t normally condone firing someone for their actions off work. This tool Adam was a CFO or Chief Financial Officer of a company. He violated several common sense things.
He filmed himself and let everyone know who he was (really stupid, pal)
He berated and badgered a low level employee who was simply doing her job and harming no one. (This is unacceptable for someone in his job status. As a boss himself, he should know that treating lower level employees this way is not acceptable PEIOD! As a boss, I would get rid of any Manager dumb enough to treat an employee like this. It is not acceptable for my employees or anyone elses either).
Also, this tosser was dumb enough to not only film himself but he was the one to post it on Youtube. (as a boss, I would question his judgement alone on that call).
Any boss worth his salt would can this turd for those things alone even if he AGREED with what the fool was saying. Senior management does not have the right to embarass the company and stay employed.
Next place he applies will find out his antics as part of their screening process. One of the first things HR does is to search social media sites to find out if an applicant will reflect poorly on the corporate values. I’m sure Adam Simth will lead the hit parade for quite a while. He might have a chance if he can change his name and his a/k/a isn’t discovered.
The Chik-Fil-A employee was just a girl who was happy to have a job working for good people. Adam Smith was a jackass who evidently wanted to become an overnight celebrity. - Well, Mr. Smith, looks like you got your fifteen minutes of fame and paid the price for the “cause”. So, maybe now you’ll get your name in the history books of the future to replace the likes of Washington, Jefferson, Adams and Martin Luther King.
Even if he was, I don’t give a damn.
Long gone are the days when bullies were put in their place with a black eye.
Honey Badger don’t give a damn...LOL
My wager? She mentioned people wrote to her that she had interpreted the passages wrong, and then, parenthetically, couches that by saying others think she interpreted them right. The former group rattled her cage. Her intellectual foundation for her case is no longer solid, so she’s walking back the Bible stuff.
So Adam has 4 kids to support eh? Maybe he should of thought about how his behavior might effect them. Maybe he should have thought about how he would like it if some jerk treated his daughter like that. Not even a smidgen of sympathy for him. He made his bed, now he can sleep in it - as they say.
I rarely (when I can't find another conservative talk show) listen to him, but I see no reason to condemn him.
You seem to have a "burr under your saddle".
I’m sure someone will take a chance on hiring him as a bookkeeper or an accounting clerk. The risks to the company are too great to employ him as anything higher on the corporate ladder.
It was verbal abuse, he wasn’t trying to use his First Amendment rights. He’s a whining slavering coward. He got his fifteen minutes and a lost job to show for it.
“”Adam M. Smith should go to church””
Probably not going to happen. It has been reported that he and wife are probably atheists.
Yet, the entire point of this media/queer lobby contrived CFA "controversy" is to punish someone just because he has a different opinion.
Which, of course, is the goal of all liberalism, silencing dissent, even the "thought" kind.
There was no condemnation, just a complete lack of interest. The man can do what he wants, for as long as he wants. No skin off my back. I’m simply not interested.
I only got about 25 seconds into her video and turned it off.
