I work in the industry and there’s been quite a bit of talk about this around the water cooler. 0bama screwed up - they should have just let the contractors issue the layoff notices. The attempt to hide what’s going on for political gain is a much bigger story.

This and the thread about suing that State of Ohio for military voting makes me almost sure this is being done purposely to throw in the towel...Nobody is this stupid.

Exactly. Did Barack The Great really think this would go unnoticed? Workers in the defense industry follow budget issues closely since their fate is tied up in them.

Would like to try to agree with you, but it's hard to imagine any usage of this, vis-a-vis political ads or political rhetoric, coming out of the Romney campaign...
