Texans, Give Dewhurst the Boot in 2014
31 July 2012 | JRandomFreeper

Posted on 07/31/2012 7:51:32 PM PDT by JRandomFreeper

It seems as though Cruz has won the Senate and Dewhurst is headed back to his Lt. Governor job in Austin.

I have a problem with our Lt. Governor. Dewhurst has shown what a lying establishment sleazeball he is. He doesn't need to be in Texas politics anymore. Time for the boot.

So, tonight, the Give Dewhurst the Boot in 2014 (((ping list))) becomes active.

And don’t forget Perry, let’s give the one with “heart” the boot too!

No, Dewhurst never served in either branch of the legislature. Perry and Bob Bullock served only in the House, I believe. Preston Smith served in the Senate first.

What a conservative imposter that Perry is.
Give him the boot, as well.

I did say pretty much. Dewhurst was Commissioner of the General Land Office.

My point is that I don't believe anyone can make Lt. Governor without having served in the Texas Government in some capacity. Legislature seems to be most of them.

I couldn't find an example of a Lt. Gov that had no political experience in the 20th Century.

...Dewhurst has damaged himself beyond redemption in addition to anyone who endorsed him.

I'm disgusted with some of the people who endorsed Dewhurst. I hope this is a lesson for Mike Huckabee, Michael Reagan, James Inhoffe. It's possible some of them didn't know Dewhurst was going to sink so low, like that blubbering mother ad, but some of them like Inhoffe came on board after Dewhurst had thoroughly established himself as a slimeball.

LOL! He's at least astute and following current events. Dewhurst was just completely tone deaf and arrogant during this election.

Also Joe Strauss (TX Speaker of the House) needs to be benched. All our good bills get killed without a vote because of him. I’m sick of it!

Yep, lots of folks are sick of the establishment. It's time to make them retire to the country club so they can complain about us vile conservatives that have ruined their party.

That's what this thread is for.

Please add me to the list.

A little random tidbit. We went to vote at about 1830. we waited in the door to the polling place and finally people crowded up a bit and let us in so the 104* heat would stay outside.

Every few minutes, they would announce that if you were voting socialist, I mean democrat, to go to that table. During the entire wait, one person went to that table!

It's very likely that Texas politicians that endorsed him were bullied into it, ala LBJ tactics.

He holds the most powerful political office in Texas, after all. He wields more power than Gov. Goodhair.

Do you have any contacts with the Patterson camp? I haven't vetted Patterson yet.

I know him personally. He’s a salt of the earth type of guy. Former marine. former state senator, author of the Texas concealed carry law, currently land commissioner, and running for LT. Governor in 2014.

I will be doing EVERYTHING in my power to get him elected!

Wow, I like him already:) I will be praying that he doesn’t get “Stepford Wifed” like so many do after they get to Washington. I swear, they must take them into a room somewhere and give them some powerful secret drug to make them lose their wills and minds. The Republicans, I mean. The Democrats just become more crazily marxist.

I understand the Texas State Politicians, but that doesn't explain Inhoffe, Reagan. Endorsing someone like Dewhurst seems way below guys like them.

I knew he was land commissioner, and a Marine (uppercase and no former, even zoomies know that). I did not know he authored the CCW law.

Cool. Do you want on the Boot Dewhurst ping list? You sound like you could be a valuable resource to get that bushwhacking, sidewinding, cracker-croaker out of Austin..

Dewhurst owns a ranch. He has free access to lots of bullshit. Not to mention what he can get in Austin.

Perry may be an imposter but I’m glad he’s Governor instead of Kay Bailey. There are politicians who wield a lot more power than Perry - such as Dewhurst and Strauss. We’re not going to be able to get rid of them all at the same time so need to prioritize.
