Lloyd Marcus, the Chairman of leading conservative group Campaign to Defeat Obama PAC released the following statement today in response to an ABC news report that former Vice President Dick Cheney criticized Sarah Palins qualifications to serve in the White House:
To suggest that Sarah Palin does not possess the necessary qualifications to serve in the White House is ridiculous on its face. Ever since she was selected in 2008 by the Republican partys nominee for president, then ratified by the GOP membership at the Republican Party convention, she has proven time and time again to be an extremely capable, inspiring and visionary leader.
Palin has proven her mettle in the years since 2008. She has become one of the most prominent and vocal leaders of the tea party movement, and her campaign efforts have single-handedly influenced the outcome of countless senatorial, congressional and gubernatorial elections because the American people believe in her leadership skills and trust her judgment. They know that she knows a great leader when she sees one because she herself is a great leader.
Contrast that with the disastrous record Barack Obama has compiled since 2008. Obama has failed the people of this nation and brought harm to our economy, national defense and the American spirit.
Campaign to Defeat Obama Vice Chair Andrea Shea King concluded:
Sarah Palin will never be the safe choice of the GOP establishment blue bloods.
"In bucking the good old boys throughout her entire career and proving that she could rack up accomplishments and make big differences -- as both an executive in office and a citizen activist and Tea Party leader -- she has proven she is more valuable than the whole lot of them.
"Sarah Palins record and leadership abilities speak for themselves and anybody would do better to emulate them than to marginalize themselves by taking swipes at her.
The Left and their allies in the media will always try to personally malign conservatives for their own political purposes, but it is our responsibility to not only prevent ourselves from being sucked into these tricks and giving credence to these baseless attacks, but also to proactively fight back. This proud American conservative will not stand for these despicable sneering smears against Sarah Palin, and no conservative should.

Dick Cheney can go to hell, along with Christie, Barbara Bush, and all of the other RINOs who have tried as best they can to marginalize a conservative superstar. It is jealousy pure and simple. If Cheney goes to Texas to help Cruz (as if) well... (cricket chirping softly)
Thank you Chairman Lloyd Marcus for all that you do for our country.
Very...well...said!
Dick Cheney “misunderestimated” the influence of Palin.
He will release a correction tomorrow. I bet.
Amen! Cheney has stepped in it big time....backfire!
Washington needs an apocalyptic enema. Start with every major political figure that has been on the scene for more than ten years. It’s impossible to work in a company town like Washington and not be influenced by the culture of corruption. Palin focuses like a laser on the real issues, and never stops... HOLD FAST and Godspeed Sarah P.
Thanks L Marcus, many of us have no doubt as to Mrs.Palin’s
ability to hold the office, in fact if it weren’t for
Mrs.Palin, John McCain would still be a half forgotten
Senator from out west somewhere.
Her credentials certainly equal those of the junior Senator
from Ill who spent most of his time in office campaigning
for a bigger job.
Palin will end up as the GOP nominee. You heard it here first. The GOP-e is preparing to dump Mitt. Watch for it.
But once again the media have successfully painted her as a sort of a "Northern Exposure" doofus, a Fargo-esque bubblehead with delusions of grandeur.
Of course, these are the same media that paint Barack Obama as ... competent. Both are images, nothing more. And neither image is more valid than the other.
I missed the mainstream media discussion on whether Barack Hussein Obama was qualified to serve as President - of the United States of America. I assume it would have been racist to ask, since he's a liberal. Somehow, it's not sexist to ask the same question about Sarah Palin.
I would love to believe that is true, alas... tis not.
At least as good, is putting it mildly. A hallmark of an executive is making decisions. In Obama's previous jobs, he couldn't decide yes or no, and more often than not, voted "present". In his current position, he is still voting "present" by not calling meetings of the Jobs Council, etc., and is more often found playing golf or fund-raising.
We are hearing more and more about Ann Romney’s MS. He talked about it with Pansy Morgan on CNN at great length. Now, we all can see that Ann is healthy and I hope she remains so. But her past illness provides a face-saving way for Mitt to bow out. If he leaves the race because of her, he’d be enhanced in stature. He’d get to be the American Edward VIII — giving up power for love — and the GOP would have the chance to trade him in for a conservative. It’d be perfect. After Ann “recovers,” Mitt could be tapped for the Palin cabinet.
I so wish it were true - a Palin/West ticket would be powerful.
But I too am skeptical that it would happen.
I would be very happy if you were to prove me wrong.
Blaming Sarah Palin for the loss in 2008 = Liberal Myth
I am so tired of this GOP Liberal Myth. Sarah Palin was the only reason McCain did not lose in a 57-state blowout
In fact, the 2008 election turned when McCain decided to suspend his campaign to push thru the Bank Bailout.
The “Sarah Palin lost the 2008 election” is as big a GOP Liberal Myth as “Running Illegal Alien Amnesty candidates brings in Hispanic voters”
I think Dick Cheney’s heterophobic daughter has gotten to his head
She'd be in position for president in four.
In fact, the 2008 election turned when McCain decided to suspend his campaign to push thru the Bank Bailout. That was a big factor. Another big factor was the way the McCain campaign operatives actively strove to undercut Palin's effectiveness and usefulness to the campaign.
