Dick Cheney is WRONG! I would never have voted for McCain WITHOUT Sarah Palin being on the ticket. McCain would have lost by a landslide without her! Cheney is just another establishment GOPer!
I’d say picking John McCain was the huge mistake.
I’m intrigued that GLBT-ABC-Disney is concern that the GOP don’t blow their chances by choosing “the wrong” VP candidate.
Neither Barack Obama nor Joe Biden have the skills necessary to be President of the United States of America. The alphabet networks would never report that inconvenient truth.
McLame lost in a blow out. He would have been vaporized if conservatives were not voting bottom of the ticket for Palin.
Hey DICK, want to win??? How about giving us conservatives top of the ticket instead of arch RINOs like Romney.
the repub elites are desperate and in total fear of Sarah Palin! Here is a clown on his deathbed dissing an American Patriot. How low can a scumbag go? Get lost cheney.
Read this earlier today
I think Palin was the reason McCain did as well as he did. But I agree that Palin needed more time in higher office.
Of course we have a POSOTUS who had very little background other than as outside agitator. And it shows.
The GOP should have realized the this country is no longer “your daddy’s America”. Over half of the voters are freeriding, freeloaders who only vote to get themselves government handouts and freebies.
Orders from the GOP-e?
It was totally petty and a shameless MSM butt kiss on his part.
Lost some respect for the former Veep...
No, the mistake was McCain, not Palin.
In 2012, the country will get either Romney or Obama. I won't be participating in that particular voting exercise because I would be ashamed to have voted for either.
It's people like Cheney -- deep establishment guys -- who have built a political system that feels broken, and dirty and wrong to me. The Tree of Liberty thirsts and I have no plan to do anything that might delay the drink.
Cheney is part of the anti-social conservative gop-e, a Romney man.
Voting for Palin was the first time I was truly enthused about voting since Reagan, as she exemplified everything I wanted in a leader, from her conservative/reformer stances to her grit, to her non-elitist background. So, she’a a MISTAKE? Well, if she’s a mistake to the “GOP” leadership, then the GOP does not represent me, and the only “mistake” was that I ever put any faith, trust or respect in the Republican Party, which obviously holds people like me in contempt.
Does Cheney not think Sarah Palin, his fellow Republican leader, has feelings and dignity and did not deserve for him to publicly slam her?
Didn’t Reagan have some wise saying about Republicans not belittling each other?
Palin was more ready then McCain.
McCain lost not Palin........
Said it before, and i’ll say it again. Cheney is a tough guy, as long as other people have go act do the tough stuff on his behalf. And he is no conservative. He’s a gay marriage, open borders, NWO Bushie. Pure GOPe. A total tool that plays that Wyoming macho persona for all its worth.
And didn’t go to Vietnam, because he “had more important things to do”.
But he is worshipped here sometimes. Weird.
If the GOP was intended on replacing Mondale's run for president as "Most Epic fail" ever.
The mistake was the Sarah Palin was not at the Top of the Ticket in 2008.
And that mistake has been repeated in 2012 as Sarah Palin will be be at the top of the GOP Ticket.
The mistake is the GOPe selecting Romney at the head of this years Republicrat ticket! Just as bad, if not worse than the selection of McSTAIN in 08.
McCain was the loser from day 1. He remains one of Obama’s biggest fans.
I think Cheney is wrong and that SP could have easily shouldered the burden of being POTUS from day one. She’s smart, tough, thick-skinned, humble, a good learner and above all else, principled.
Big government experience is not all its cracked up to be, or career politicians wouldn’t have wrecked the ship of state as badly as they have.
The more government experience a pol has, the more likely they are to have been corrupted by that experience.
