The nanny state is going after moms.
Mayor Bloomberg is pushing hospitals to hide their baby formula behind locked doors so more new mothers will breast-feed.
Starting Sept. 3, the city will keep tabs on the number of bottles that participating hospitals stock and use — the most restrictive pro-breast-milk program in the nation.
Under the city Health Department’s voluntary Latch On NYC initiative, 27 of the city’s 40 hospitals have also agreed to give up swag bags sporting formula-company logos, toss out formula-branded tchotchkes like lanyards and mugs, and document a medical reason for every bottle that a newborn receives.
While breast-feeding activists applaud the move, bottle-feeding moms are bristling at the latest lactation lecture.

My gosh what is next for the nanny statists? I hope moms would breast feed, but it is a choice that moms need to make.

Let me understand this. Bloomberg is for the murder of the unborn, but is not okay with mothers who let their children live but choose to give them formula?
Bloomberg is finishing out his third term. He’s facing being a private citizen once again and is trying to build a legacy. So he’s going nuts; they all do.
I’m all for encouraging moms to learn that those aren’t just sweater decorations, and I’m all for reducing the advertising the formula companies get to plaster the new moms with, but I’m not sure I like the City government in charge of it.
No big gulps for babies, and no 64 oz. breasts!!

Do you think he is going to NOT run for a 4th term? Prior to his managing to get the city’s 2 term limit for mayor changed to let him and his control freak ego run for a 3rd term. Do you think his ego and power hungryness will let him step aside? And the sheeple there will follow orders and re-elect him.
