When gay couples are ready to get married, Target is happy to help them celebrate.
The Minneapolis-based discount chain is running an ad featuring two grooms as an invitation to other gay and lesbian couples to set up their wedding registries at Target.
"Be yourself, together," the text of the ad reads. "Build a Target Wedding Gift Registry as unique as the two of you."
Does this mean Target Corp. is ready to make a commitment, too? Is Minnesota's most prominent corporation taking a public stand supporting gay marriage -- and opposing the Minnesota marriage amendment, which is coming to a vote in November?

Don’t buy any fudge there.
Shouldn’t their wedding guests be donating their “gifts” to the Obama campaign?
If they can make enough money off gays to stay in business , why should anyone complain?
If gay business is what they want that is what they should get. Straights can shop elsewhere.
The problem is, that 2% has the backing of a bunch of liberals and PC nitwits, that’s how it came to this point.
I am a capitalistI believe in the capitalist system and I give applause to any business that works to keep up their sales! I give Kudos to Target! i do not agree with Gay marriagebut I do agree with making money!
Never did like Target so now it’s on my ever growing list of banned stores.
I guess they’re thinking this will bring about a significant increase in the sale of vaseline.
Target’s run by a bunch of Minnesota liberals, mostly Feminazis. They used to be huge corporate supporters of Planned Deadbabyhood, but some pro-lifers bought enough stock to introduce a shareholder resolution challenging the practice, so the libs folded. Maybe that will have to happen again.
"Elsewhere" these days is pretty much limited to Chick-fil-A.
You cannot serve both God and mammon. Judas made money too.
“I think its amusing that detestable big businesses are turning liberal causes into marketing schemes. “
You have it backwards. As noted by others, this is bad marketing, they are now marketing for something that is doesnt exist in 43 states, they gain a tiny market maybe but put off many others ... but its effective in moving our culture, normalizing the previously unthinkable.
This is hijacking marketing for liberal causes.
Probably not the dumbest post of the day, but I'll bet you make the top 10. :)
” we all know how profitable and popular social Marxism is! “
Indeed. Lenin’s remark holds.
Shopper: “I am looking for enough rope for the capitalists to hang themselves with?”
Clerk: “That’s in Aisle 11, right next to the Petards you can hoist yourself on.”
I submit that all the people that were incinerated in Sodom and Gommorah weren’t actual Sodomites. There were most likely a fair number of “Capitalists” who supported the practitioners for profit or out of convenience.
What stores can we go to that will like CONSERVATIVES???
The Salvation Army.
Maybe it’s time they expand their clothing line:
“Target...vows political neutrality”
Were they stopping them from registering their pretend weddings there before this? NO! So the fact is that what Target is doing is anything but politically neutral.
Without doubt, they have definite weak points. As members of an elite, particularly MBA holders from the top-flight schools, they're prone to overestimate the influence of a small minority that's hyped all over the place. They themselves are a small, albeit exclusive, minority. Camille Paglia noted that male homosexuals are aristocratic at heart. What better group o' guys to tickle the vanity of a top-drawer MBA holder?
The guys seem to be forgetting an old truth: "If you want to live in Manhattan, you sell to the Bronx. If you want to live in the Bronx, you sell to Manhattan."
