SEATTLE President Barack Obama said Tuesday that he's losing his patience over the Republican attacks aimed at his you didnt build that comment.
I have to tell you, I generally have patience with what the other side says about me, thats a requirement of this job, Obama said during a $5,000-per-plate fundraiser here, according to the pool report.
And if you dont like folks talking about you, you probably shouldnt run for president. The one thing I do have no patience for is this argument that somehow what Im criticizing is success
I want to promote success," Obama said.

When it comes to this kind of Obama rhetoric, Colonel Potter had I think the best reply: “MULE COOKIES!”

Fade to black....
Give me a break. Just how many times has Obama claimed that he means what he says and assumes Romney does too ... so that when Romney says something (damaging) we should take him at his word.
Obama pointed to public schools and colleges.....Which spawned James Holmes? With government money?
In a rare moment of being candid and speaking about his Alinsky view of things with government and everything controlled by government to be on the top of the food chain, 0bama spoke his true thoughts.
0bama and the American public need to be reminded of this speech every day until the election, especially if it irritates him and his mind-numbed followers. I prefer success as defined by every other President until 0bama to 0bama’s world view.
Right you are. Romney should have a walk in the park pushing Hussein’s buttons. Make fun of him. Pick at him. Twist his words around his stupid little head and eventually he’ll have a real “episode”
Tee hee.

When we were in grade school, I remember being angry and calling my big brother the worst name I could think of: “Buddy Belly-Button”. It got to him so I used it plenty of times just to tease him.
Of course, we were children then.
Relevance to the OP is slight, I just felt like smiling a bit.
Obama loves to take criticism, and re-define it by mischaracterizing it.
Nobody said he was attacking success. What he is attacking is people who think something they did caused them to succeed.
His point, fully made, was that it is ignorant to think you succeeded because you were smart, or hard-working. This plays to his base, who are neither smart nor hard-working, but don’t like people saying they are at fault for their own lack of success.
Obama says that whatever success you have, it’s not because of what you did, but because of what government did for you.
Oddly, it seems that should make all the unsuccessful people really mad at Obama, since he runs the government, and apparently the government failed them.
But isn’t this the message of the ghetto? That you shouldn’t bother trying because the deck is stacked against you, that no matter how hard you work, or how smart you are, you can’t succeed?
And it defines Obama’s approach to government, using government to provide “success” for everybody, since they can’t succeed on their own.
No, Obama wasn’t attacking success, he was personally attacking successful people who didn’t thank government for what they had. IN the end, his comment was a negative attack on people who think they had something to do with their own success. If you say “I was smart”, Obama is attackign you. If you say “I worked hard”, Obama is attacking you.
BTW, Obama’s philosophy reflects his life experiences.
Obama clearly isn’t smart. And he obviously doesn’t have any idea what hard work is. But he “succeeded”, he’s the President.
In his case, he got where he is because government had policies and programs that favored his skin color.
Oh, gee whiz. That's too bad.
FUBO
The realization is beginning to hit the Chicago thug pol that the nations first black president is getting dissed in his election for a 2nd term.
Rejection is so hard to take for the Narcissist in Chief
He finds questions about intelligence leaks “offensive.” Now, he finds he’s “impatient” when people ask him about a now-infamous speech. It’s all personal.
What a petulant child...everything’s all about HIM!
Yes, Ace was worried for a while that he wouldn’t be able to give his “concession” speech genuflecting and praising the Fraud.
Yeah 0 bummer, it's hard to "unring" a bell. Too bad your 57 states comment wasn't run as part of the 2008 campaign.
