...and, holy cow, I took a look at their prior polls and results - way-left wins big every time. I hate public radio
Back when 1-900 numbers were introduced, a Twin Cities TV station regularly had polls that required viewers to call their 900 # to vote at, I think 50 cents a pop. There would always be a few not sure/no opinion votes.
In other words, people actually paid money to tell the world they had no clue.
Minimum wage in WA state is $9.04. In Seattle the retail stores have trouble finding people to work for less $13.00/hour.
When Nancy took over the House one of her first actions was to raise the minimum wage. The unemployment rate began rising that month.
It was just the beginning. :)
Lower it...
Of course not. A minimum wage hike won’t help.
We do need far more competition between businesses for both customers and employees. The way to accomplish that is to abolish uses of government regulations against potential competition (i.e., against new, small businesses). Encourage more business starts and more competition between businesses. Get off the local fake environmentalism and animal worship attacks against new, small business starts. Eliminate the local, yocal, commie zoning ordinances against small manufacturing starts in rural areas.
Hell no!
Unless of course you want to pay $8.00 for an Ice cream cone or a donut and coffee.
What are they thinking?
“...Abolish the minimum wage.”
You are absolutely correct...the minimum wage impoverishes many...

Yes! Now that 0zer0 has nearly destroyed small business in our country, let’s just finish the job. Make it $15/hour!

No. Employees should be paid what they are worth to the hiring company, not some arbitrary minimum that is decided by an ignorant, socialistic government.
