Sources tell FOX31 Denver reporter Justin Joseph that a second man is now a person-of-interest in the Aurora theater shooting investigation. We are not disclosing his identity because he has not been charged.
Twelve people were killed and 58 injured early Friday when James Egan Holmes allegedly opened fire inside the crowded theater.
Neighbors of the person of interest say for the past two days there have been SWAT team and police cars in their alley and unmarked cars in street.
“He’s been there about a year,” said one neighbor.
Agents showed up again this morning.
“I woke up this morning with cops still here trying to look inside his home. At 5:00 a.m. cops showed-up and asked me about (him).”
Sources tell Justin Joseph someone made a call from the person of interest’s phone threatening violence if James Egan Holmes was not released from jail. That call prompted police to issue an alert to find and detain him.

What I don’t get is the automatic assumption that the second person, if there is one, is “interesting”. What if he or, as the case may likely be, she, is dull?
You’re missing the point. This doesn’t sound like at all like a Muslim terrorist strike; they want to let people know why they are doing what they are doing. There is nothing in this guy’s background that is known so far that would seem to indicate he had turned into some radical Islamist. That could change but I highly doubt it. I also doubt any OWS connection. I’m thinking Schizophrenia or some other psychotic break.
It may not have been a vanity plate. In my experience, the spaces themselves indicate vanity plates.
You why did you previously state: I believe this. The license plate is 119 ROC....as in COR 911. The date was 7/20. The event was the start of Ramadan.
Are you suggesting the Colorado DMV is part of this conspiracy and gave him this random non-vanity plate on purpose? Yea, 7/20 was the start of Ramadan, but 7/20 was also the opening of the new Batman movie and that along with his obsession with the Joker, seems a lot more relevant.

No, I am not. At all. While this can be a psychotic break, yes, it will NOT be admitted whether this was a terrorist attack on US soil against a target that happened to include a number of military personnel. Never in an election year would 0bama admit any such thing—even if he were involved in it.

The plate would have been requested. There are no laws against the number. But there is ethos in the selection. The date, 9/11, was chosen as a shiv to the now established US emergency call number, which happens to match several important Islamic events in history. AQ is big on dates.
I have made my statements in the positive, which you are choosing to ridicule. I have stated my position, with which you do not have to agree. But this young man, quite disturbed, can be a tool for more than political points in the US.
It would be imperative to cast aspersions on anyone who questions the official story now.
So, if the guy bought a ticket and walked in with all the others, people saw him with his red hair. There would be lots of witnesses who stood in line with the guy and couldn’t have helped but notice the red hair. Those lines are usually long, lots of time standing around doing nothing but crowd watching, lots of witnesses.
You can buy tickets on line and pick them up at a kiosk in the lobby. Just scan the bar code on you printout.
What the heck does someone with a degree on neuro science think that he is going to do, besides go to grad school?
Did Holmes apply to med school and not get in? Did he perhaps apply for jobs with pharmaceutical firms and get turned down?
It’s not the line for the tickets that is so long. You buy your ticket and THEN go stand in line. My kids dragged me to one of these openings once, not a midnight opening but a regular time opening. We had purchased our tickets on-line.
Oh, and there are alarms on the emergency exits and there were guards stationed in front of each emergency door.
Credit cards?
Oh, and there was no way that we could get a parking spot anywhere near the theater. That was odd, also. I’m wondering if the car was illegally parked or parked there ahead of time, way ahead of time.

And how would have James Holmes have known that there would be “a number of military personnel” in the movie theater that night – was he checking ID’s at the door? He randomly shot at all sorts of people, young, old, little kids; he was completely indiscriminate in who he shot and he didn’t seem to be targeting military personnel and as far as I am aware, the few military folks in that theater that night were dressed in civilian clothes. Your supposition here makes no sense.

So? There are Homeland Security and FBI warnings all the time. If I took credence in every single one of them, I’d never, ever leave my house, would never take a train, a plane, go to the mall, go to a baseball game, go to the mall…... As far as the Toronto mall shooting, that was not the act of Islamic terrorists but that of rival gang members with innocent victims caught in the crossfire, innocent people in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Sure except that there is no evidence what so ever that this was a “vanity plate”. It was just a random set of letters and numbers just as any other license plate. As I said previously I had a plate that had the letters WWF and later a plate that had the numbers 116 which if I flipped my car on the interstate would read 911! On the other hand and based on your very flawed logic, maybe the Left is right in claiming Holmes to be some sort of radical Christian Tea Party Member –COR – 911 could after all = Corinthians 9:11 “Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God”. (eye roll)
Not to mention that the date of 9-11 doesn’t seem to have any real meaning to the terrorists, any more than another number of other dates important on their calendar, except that it was the day they chose to carry out their act of terrorism, a Tuesday after a holiday being a day that flights were not heavily booked but a day when they found a lot of flights that fit their agenda. If they were looking for deeper meaning of a date on the calendar, they could have chose any number of other dates with more significance than 9-11, you would think according to you, they would have chosen 7-20.

I don’t disagree with you that this shooting will be spun for political purposes – the gun grabbers are already having a field day over this. And I’m not trying to ridicule you – you’re doing a pretty good job of doing that to yourself BTW. But you are all over the place – it’s not a vanity plate, it is a vanity plate, the plate had meaning except when it doesn’t, Holmes was targeting military personnel, (but as I pointed out, he wasn’t), he was disturbed but then he was the mindless and innocent tool of some bigger grander conspiracy – but then as a mindless tool he somehow chose his license plate number on purpose.
Again, the guy was sick, delusional and obsessed with the Batman comics and movies and especially with the dark character of the Joker. He chose 7/20 to carry out his plan, not because it was the start of Ramadan but because that was the date of the first mid-night showing of the movie. In his very sick and warped mind, he had actually become the Joker and what better place to come out than to a movie theater full of Batman fans. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
