I hope Rand Paul has a long and successful political career.
Many of his supporters are anti-war liberal democrats who probably never really planned on voting for him in the general.
Per the article at New American:
“The first issue mentioned by Senator Paul was the audit of the Federal Reserve. Saying that he and his father believe that there should be more transparency and more congressional oversight of the unconstitutional central bank, Paul went on to say that this [the audit of the Fed] is something Governor Romney was supportive of throughout his campaign.
Those loyal to his father and to the cause of auditing or abolishing the Federal Reserve know that not only has Mitt Romney not supported this critical plank of the constitutional platform, but in fact he has explicitly spoken out against it.
I think Ben Bernanke [the chairman of the Federal Reserve] is a student of monetary policy; hes doing as good a job as he thinks he can do. Im not going to spend my time going after Ben Bernanke. Im not going to spend my time focusing on the Federal Reserve, Romney has observed.

Oy! Gov. Romney speaks with a forked tongue!
I actually searched, today, to see how I can register as an Independent in my county. I am SICK to death of how this country is headed (and frikkin’ SICK of the RNC sending me pablum through the mail, which I shred, and email, which I delete.....and the Rebubics (thanks Mark Levin) left me long ago. ESPECIALLY during McCain as being the pick. I may vote for Romney .....but it will be the lesser of two evils....like I did for McCain (because of Sarah). I’m SICK of having to make the “lesser of two evils” choice!!!!!
Pssst. It’s not only Ron Paul supporters that have given up on the GOP.
I doubt Rand is going to have much luck getting libertarian leaning Constitutionalists to vote for the socialist Ronmey.
Rand Paul has little sway with his father’s supporters. His support of willard is looked at more as an act of betrayal than anything.
