(CBS News) Sources say investigators have found key evidence in dumpsters and trash bins outside of James Holmes' apartment, including a shipping label from an internet ammunition store called BulkAmmo.com.
Investigators also tell CBS News they have recovered a surveillance video of James Holmes picking up approximately 150 pounds of ammunition at a Federal Express outlet in Colorado.
They've interviewed a UPS driver who says Holmes had 90 packages delivered to his workplace on the University of Colorado medical campus.
And sources say over the past several months, Holmes spent about $15,000 as he was putting together his deadly arsenal -- guns, chemicals, explosives, and ammunition.
"Through the Internet he purchased over 6,000 rounds of ammunition, more than 3,000 rounds of. 223 ammunition for the assault rifle, 3,000 rounds of .40 caliber ammunition for the two Glocks in his possession and 300 rounds for the 12 gauge shotgun."
Holmes did most his shopping on Internet sites. And he was clearly in a hurry.
A receipt from TacticalGear.com shows on July 2 -- two-and-a-half weeks before the shootings -- Holmes purchased a bulletproof vest and other equipment. He paid extra to have it shipped by 2nd-day air.

From the same article:
All this looks like James Holmes completed a "mission" and then calmly ended that mission by surrendering to police and admitting everything. The mission, as we are now learning, was to cause as much terror and mayhem as possible, then to have that multiplied by the national media at exactly the right time leading up the UN vote next week on a global small arms treaty that could result in gun confiscation across America.
And further:
This has all the signs of Fast & Furious, Episode II.... there's no quicker way to disarm a nation and take total control over the population than to stage violence, blame it on firearms, then call for leaders to "do something!" Such calls inevitably end up resulting in gun confiscation, and it's never too long after that before government genocide really kicks in like we saw with Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao and other tyrants.
I don’t care what his motive was or how insane he might be, he should get the death penalty. I hear that inmates want him loose in the general population so that they can take him out. I think that is a really good idea. It spares tax payers the expense for his incarceration.
Isn’t it ORM-D ?

I hope that means that you either reload or have already bought all the ammo you need.
Government grants. 0bamaCare.
I know 2 college students who are renting apartments in NYC and have spending money with their students loans.
Let me guess, You have never made the drive from Colorado to Tennessee have you?
Leaving Denver around Midnight you can be in Kansas City by noon.
My thought is the guy was brainwashed, possibly a combined regimen of drugs and repetitious mentoring, possibly some hypnosis.
There are programs that even the CIA have that have ways to quickly motivate a certain individual to behave, to perform a certain function for a goal.
Subliminal sleep teaching is one way, in all respects this guy was manipulated by someone else, his profile is all off kilter here. This is something much bigger, somebody else organized and funded this guy making him into a martyr for a cause.
And obviously its a political manna from heaven so to speak for the gun grabbers.
I say its time to re-check the ammo box, and maybe expand it some more before its gone.
He could have bought it on credit.
You can buy plate carriers from TacticalGear.com, but they won’t sell you the ballistic plates unless you can prove you are military or LEO. Where did he get the plates?
Here we go for the calls to close the “Internet Loopholes”, and prohibiting sales of guns and ammo online. Sometimes these things are so “perfect” it makes you wonder who really planned it all - was it just crazy delusions of a psycho, or did someone put him up to this?
That wouldn’t surprise me. I wish I had been online more the last few days. I’m only a TINY bit familiar with this event, vs. others I’ve researched (like the OU Bombing, for instance). However, in the little I’ve read I would agree that his profile doesn’t indicate this kind of extreme actions - especially something of this magnitude seemingly “out of the blue”.
I’d love to find out more about this man’s previous faculty, and teaching programs in the school(s) he attended. It would be interesting to find out why he left school/was kicked out a bit ago as well.
I pretty much tried to stay away from posting anything as well the first 24 hours after it occurred and I refused to watch hours and and hours of repetitious MSM exploitation of the event.
I’m leaning towards feeling this way as I’m coming into all the news and descriptions a bit “late” on this guy. There are too many questions, and not even enough “gray area” to see where it could have been possible for him to “snap”, or something. It’s just too “perfect” - at least from the little I’ve read so far.
“Which begs the question- who was bankrolling this guy?”
He put it on credit cards, knowing he’d never have to pay.
“This dove tails nicely with BOs position paper on taking over the internet “
Can you give me a reference or search terms? New to me, I’m in a spot with limited bandwidth
