I carry mine into every establishment with that sign. If nothing happens no one knows. If something happens then it was well worth the risk.
Someone who implemented that policy needs to answer this one simple question -
“What did you intend to accomplish with your no weapons policy?”
I think a big law suit is in order. How may 0's are in a zillion?
I’ve seen a few places that had the official no guns sign on one set of doors but not on others.
I doubt that the exit door through which the perp entered had such a sign.
Maybe that’s why their policy didn’t deter him.
From Handgunlaw.us:
Do No Gun Signs Have the Force of Law?NO
No Firearm signs in Colorado have no force of law unless they are posted on property that is specifically mentioned in State Law as being off limits to those with a Permit/License to Carry. If you are in a place not specifically mentioned in the law that is posted and they ask you to leave, you must leave. If you refuse to leave then you are breaking the law and can be charged. Even if the property is not posted and you are asked to leave you must leave. Always be aware of the possibility that responding Police Officers who may have been called without your knowledge and may not know the laws on trespass etc. could arrest you even if you are within the law.
Wonder how long it will take before one of our enlightened leaders suggests that the TSA screen moviegoers?
Done and done.
Hey Cinemark...
Evidently, Holmes didn’t get the message about your policy...
Or..Maybe he did, and that’s why he picked your theater.
People die every day. But to be slaughtered because youre not allowed to fight back is just stupid.
Carry everywhere, all ways. Your life might depend on it.
Refuse to patronize establishments and businesses that refuse to see you as a human being with a RIGHT to stay alive.
You are the First Responder, always and everywhere. No one is responsible for saving your life except you and you alone.
At the end of the day when it comes to wolves, youre either sheep, or sheepdog.
Stupid rule: Agreed!
My bet is, nobody would have had to defend them-self, if this pussy knew there would have been ten to thirty armed patrons ready to take him on.
This is the perfect example of why you don’t take guns away.
Make sure the populace hasn’t been set up to be defenseless victim in the first place.
“...What did you intend to accomplish with your no weapons policy?...”
They helped to accomplished a body count, pretty much.
When I see a “no guns” sign I know what it really makes..
“spend your money elsewhere”
So I do.
“...spend your money elsewhere So I do....”
So do I, but I make it a point to go in and let the store manager know that I’ll make it my life’s mission to let folks know that his establishment leaves them defenseless.
Hit them in the wallet, and let them know why, and K-Mart their asses.
Not as many as in a gazillion.
Like I said - that door didn’t have a sign, and 12 people paid with their lives.
If only there had been a sign.
Sighhhhh.
HUSH!!! If Obama finds out about those numbers we are more screwed than we already are!
Carry on ;)
Why have we not hears of other shooting incidents’ victims suing?
Like the Vurginia Tech families?
I agree. It sickens me...

I don’t know, but it’s about time we get some second amendment lawyers for this kind of murderous abuse.
Sue this company into oblivion!!!
Every single victim and their families should do so without hesitation or reservation...
I think AMC Theaters needs to revisit their “gun free zone” policy as well...
Find out who the advertizers that parade their wares during the pre-preview time just before the main show...Those are local companies usually and that could have a tremendous effect on that particular theaters revenue and patronage...
Enough is enough...Time to hurt them where it counts...
