Aurora, Colorado Movie Theater Shooting: 12 Dead(James Holmes,24)

A lone gunman burst into a movie theater in Aurora, Colo., at a midnight showing of the latest Batman film, "The Dark Knight Rises," and opened fire, killing at least 12 people and injuring at least 50, police said.

James Holmes, 24, of North Aurora, was apprehended at the scene clad in a bullet-proof vest and riot helmet.

Witnesses said Holmes crashed into the movie theater from an emergency exit door at the front of the auditorium, setting off a smoke bomb and then shooting off dozens of rounds from multiple firearms, police told ABC News.

Just came across this on Hot Air: A few weeks ago, a man by the username of ‘JamesHolmes154′ posted a thread on 9gag saying he was going to ‘shoot up’ a theater. He was clearly distressed and admitted he was suffering from PTSD. He said he was going to walk in and try to take as much lifes as possible. The whole 9gag community egged him on and give him tips on what to wear, etc. They give him tips on sharp-shooting and sent him messages on how to take as much lifes as possible. 9gag is a sick site and needs to be destroyed.

I’m always amused that people go right to FB to find a perp when something like this happens. Facebook only accounts for about 50% of the American population, and those numbers might represent worldwide users. It’s entirely possible he didn’t have a Facebook page at all, but I don’t disagree that it’s a good place to start looking.
