J.C. Penney stock crashes with news of gay marriage support
afa ^ | July 17, 2012

Simply put, people are not shopping at J.C. Penney. AFA and OneMillionMoms are showing success in the effort to educate people to Penney's aggressive national campaign to promote "gay" marriage.

The company is going downhill fast. Since February, the company stock has lost more than half its value, and Standard & Poor's Ratings Services lowered its credit rating on J.C. Penney Co. further into "junk" status.

JCP announces Ellen DeGeneres as their new spokesperson. JCP launches catalog ad featuring two "gay" moms. JCP launches catalog ad featuring two "gay" dads. JCP stock rated "junk" by S&P. JCP fires marketing exec.

Stock price:
$41.32

Stock price falls to $35.67 Stock price falls to $25.83 Stock price falls to $20.02

First-year CEO Ron Johnson's decisions have led to disastrous results for the company. Rather than build on the faith-based traditions of founder James Cash Penney, Johnson has abandoned family values and taken the company into a financial tailspin by embracing social activism.

Families are the backbone of Penney's existence. As long as it pushes homosexual marriage, families will go elsewhere.

TAKE ACTION

Make a personal phone call to J.C. Penney's customer service department. Urge them to return to family values and stop pushing the gay marriage agenda.

Their numbers are 972-431-8200 (customer service) and 972-431-1000 (corporate headquarters).

Because JCP blocks emails from our server, you can also write a personal email to J.C. Penney at this email address: jcpcorpcomm@jcpenney.com.

Yes, “they” did jump the shark; but the jumpers don’t pay. The stockholders pay.

Indeed. I addressed that in my letter.

Hello,

I understand JCPenney stock prices have dropped to less than 1/2 of what they were before this current pro-gay campaign began ($41.32 in February 2012 to $20.02 today). I believe that is proof that the American public in general does not agree with your decision and there is a good reason why.

JCPenney built its business on the backs of families who hold traditional family values. I believe it has betrayed those families to appease a small percentage of the American public.

While I do not condone discrimination in any way, I also do not condone JCPenney foisting what I and the majority of Americans believe to be an abhorrent lifestyle on an unaccepting American public.

JCPenney may advertise in any way it sees fit; it can even partake in what is clearly a self-destructive advertising campaign. But I can assure you, it won’t be selling anything more to me.

I do not like the idea that jobs will be lost at a time when jobs are scarce, I do hope whomever crafted this ridiculous campaign soon finds him or herself unemployed.

Good luck reversing your self-destructive ways. Heck, good luck even staying in business.

Regards,

Former JCPenney Shopper

NOPE! The Crash started happening after the announcement of Ellen Degenerate! Just face it, the families that supported Pennys, don’t support the Gay Fag, Lesbian, It Wild Perverted Anal Sex Life Style of this Minority of less than 1% of America! They don’t approve and hate the Sandusky’s in America’s Perverted Fringes!

“I liked JCP for their clothing line, but won’t shop there now.”

They have the only line of microwave and toaster ovens that outlasted some well-known brands. It’s called Cooks and they are the only one who carry it. It sucks that I have to boycott these ass clowns but they are now on the list.

The alienation of shoppers who dislike gay advocacy set the downfall in motion, but they could have succeeded by attracting new customers, improving their products offered, and ultimately increasing the sales figures.

A lot of casual shoppers couldn’t care one whit about a company’s support of a homosexual agenda (Disneyworld is doing just fine), but you won’t draw in new customers to shop at a store that doesn’t give them a reason to even stop in and look around, much less return frequently.

The “no sales” strategy was a big loser on that front because they surrendered the most successful way to draw in new customers. If you take away deals and sales, you’d better have something else to offer. TJ Maxx, marshalls and ross offer low prices AND frequently changing stock, stores like costco cater to customer service, other store offer unique products. Lots of stores have everyday low prices, JCP just couldn’t answer the question “why should I spend my money here?” to enough shoppers.

So, let me get this straight (no pun intended): Our fascist/socialist government has extorted certain major companies (along with educational system and military) into promoting the gay agenda in their broader effort to tear down America's traditional Christian foundation leading to the collapse of our Constitutional Republic?

I found the following 'interview' very enlightening and disturbing at the same time. A DEFINITE read, and there is another FR thread carrying this link:

Agree with the spirit of the post....but keep in mind this article is coming from an agenda to push the boycott is working angle.

I don’t like what they did, but the vast majority of the problems they are experiencing likely have zero to do with Ellen or gay issues.

They have to do with the horrible change to the company in getting rid of sales and instituting their new pricing policies.

JCP is failing right now simply because the changes are crap. Certainly the gay stuff hasn’t helped them. But, that’s not the main thing as AFA would like you to believe with their biased piece here.

Chick fil-A is such a store, AND they have also publicly taken a strong stand for traditional marriage values. Good for them!!! And I don’t even know what Chick fil-A is? LOL!!! Is it a restuarant? I will support them for taking a strong moral stand, even if I don’t know a thing about them. As far as I know I have not seen one in my home city of Rochester, MN.

Echoing others, I don’t see the necessity of a retail store weighing in on any social issue - what’s the point?! Are they being badgered to do so???

Yes. Marketing, advertising and design industries are over-represented in the gay and liberal demographic and that is where this agenda originated. The article even says that the marketing executive was finally fired. Marketing departments are infested with this sort of ideology. I work in this field and am behind enemy lines every day. I was just reading a list of local design events and saw this lecture description:

Design for Good is a platform to build and sustain the implementation of design thinking for social change... Design for Good recognizes the wide range of designers’ work and leadership in social change which benefits the world, our country and our communities. Design for Good supports and sustains designers who play a catalytic role in communities through projects that create positive (by whose standards???) social impact. By connecting and empowering designers through online networking tools, inspirational stories, chapter events, training, national advocacy and promotion, Design for Good serves as a powerful resource for designers who wish to work in this area and a beacon for designers leading the charge.

So you see, you don't go to college to become a graphic designer or a journalist or a marketing or advertising wiz, you go to become an activist and implement "social justice." It's why I rarely go to these events. The people who attend them make me want to vomit.
