SAN ANTONIO Greeting a crowd of donors with Hello San Antone, President Obama revved up Democrats in the traditionally red state by telling them he sees shades of purple in Texas that might ultimately turn blue down the line.
The next four months, you guys wont see them, because, you know, youre not considered one of the battleground states, although thats going to be changing soon In the next four months, Obama said of negative ads at a fundraising luncheon at a downtown convention center here.
There is going to be more money spent than weve ever seen before, folks writing $10 million checks to try to beat me, running ads with scary voices and basically one message, he said. I mean, its a very simple message, you know. Their message is the economy is not where it needs to be and its Obamas fault There will be variations on the theme, but it will be the same message over and over and over again. Thats what theyre banking on, because they cant sell their actual economic plan. So their goal is to see if they can knock us down.
Obamas Texas fundraising swing, which is expected to net more than $4 million for his re-election effort, according to campaign officials, is squeezed in between campaign trips to two battleground states Ohio on Monday and Florida at the end of the week.
Jimmy Carter was the last Democratic presidential candidate to win Texas, in 1976. In 2008, then-candidate Obama lost Texas to Republican Sen. John McCain by nearly 12 points.

Does he know how many Texans own guns??
If it becomes one, I will be looking for a new international address.
Yup, given Obama’s history I don’t think “Battleground State” is a smart term to use.
So that means all the Red States will have No say on who taxes them or sets national policy.
It will be Taxation without Representation.
Yet another sad parallel to the antebellum Civil War era.
That is why Ubama and the Dems want as many Illegals in this country as possible, to vote for them so they may vote to take the Red States Money to give to them, perpetual power, and Tax Slavery.
G-D Help us if Texas falls.
Just judging from what RCP looks like - I’ll take Obama, smoking crack with Larry Sinclar, in the closet.
Illegals from the south and liberals from the north.
Speaking of...
Anybody know who keeps the Texas pinglist. Wanted murderer believed to be headed for Texas. He killed two women and an unborn child plus shot another woman. You have my permission to “prevent his extradition” back to Michigan.

In your dreams SkinnyBoy.
Republicans used to regularly carry California in presidential ,senatorial and gubernatorial elections. Now it is a completely lost cause... Due to some of the very same demographic trends that are now hitting Texas.
Also, many idiots vote for liberals and after not liking the destruction it creates, they move to states like Texas or Colorado.. But these morons bring their liberal politics with them.
Uyghur, Please!

Texas needs a WALL not gunpowder to save itself, and possibly the nation as a whole.
This is not a shooting war, but a demographics one, which whites are losing. Badly.

Don’t mess with Texas!
Hello San Antone,
Seriously. Did they actually put that on the teleprompter for him or did he decide to make up that gem on his own?
Obama’s “tamale corn husk” moment (as if he needed one to lose Texas).
I don't think he was talking about the fall elections ....
“Dont mess with Texas!”

The metrosexual, skinny RaceMarxist already is, and he’s throwing it in your face.
It will be a battlegound alright. But not not the way Zer0 thinks it will be.
He may be brave enough to step foot in the liberal bastion of Austin but I doubt he would venture to anyplace like Midland or Odessa.
He’s too much of a friggin pussy to even think of it.
Texas, like other states will simply be bred into a Democratic base. The GOP, and more importantly, the American people decided that defending the borders of our country wasn't important, and continually elected people to not protect such borders.
