"You can't fight evil with evil"
July 17, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 07/17/2012 3:30:32 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

As Alan Keyes wrote the other day, you cannot fight evil with evil.

If you haven't read it, do yourself a favor:

A Choice Between Satan and Beelzebub (FR thread)

Brief excerpt:

I grieve deeply as I contemplate the fact that millions of Americans are letting themselves be caught in this diabolical snare. As I tried to point out in 2008, the lesser of evils is still evil. No matter how such an election turns out, people content to choose between Satan and Beelzebub have made clear their willingness to let things go to hell. Moreover, the nature of their choice is so clear to them that they practically boast of the passionate hatred that impels them to it. With this practical boast they become the willing, proud accomplices of the very evil they profess to hate.

I’m morally certain this is why Christ admonished his disciples to make striving for God’s perfection the standard for their actions, rather than their hatred of evil. He thought it better to fail reaching for this standard than succeed by abandoning one’s life to the devil’s dominion. He thought it better to fail in the world’s eyes while commending one’s spirit to God (as he does on the cross) than succeed by casting one’s lot with God’s adversary.

--Alan Keyes

A man who for over 30 years of his adult life by his own admission justified the wholesale slaughter of innocent and helpless human life is purely evil and can and did justify anything. Many times.

Romney's entire political life has been a mis-adventure into godless liberal/progressive evil. There can be no denying that he has during his tenure either advocated for or personally enacted nearly the entire godless liberal/progressive agenda. He has succeeded where the Democrats have failed and he has shown them the way. His record of evil leftist doings, rationalizing, justifying, flip-flopping and mealy-mouthed parsing and spinning (lying) precedes him and tells the tale of the man. He has no foundation. No core principles. No Christian values. No moral compass. If ever a man was a godless liberal in the GOP, he is Myth Romney.

If the Republican conservatives in office or in leadership positions or in the so-called conservative media would simply stop rooting for this evil bastard and commit to the TRUTH and stand tall for Life and Liberty now and at the convention, we could chuck this liberal bastard onto the ash heap of history and run a pro-life, pro-liberty, pro-small government conservative Republican that we can all be proud to support over the Marxist usurper. And we would WIN in a Reaganesque landslide!!

Perversely, Romney is just about the only Republican who may actually lose to Obama. Hell, even McCain beat Romney.

Taking the right path is not easy and not popular at this time, but it's the only path.

May we stand on God's side while attempting to save our Republic!!

The Protest Vote - When NOT to use it.

Just recently I cast my vote in Texas for Ron Paul, knowing full well that Romney had ‘corraled’ our politically hijacked and unconstitutionally delayed the Texas Primary.
( For this ‘delayed’ Primary, someone should be tarred and feathered in the streets for usurping millions of Republicans’ rights. )

It was a close to meaningless protest vote against Romney- nothing more, nothing less..

Having educated myself on Obama; and not entirely thrilled with Gov. Romney; I will not be able to again cast a protest vote against Mitt Romney.

Too much is at stake, and much damage has been done.

While I firmly believe we could survive 8 years with Obama, ( thanks, Adams, Jefferson, et.al. for checks/balances ),
I’m not willing to accept further catastrophic weakness and BO continuous undermining of the internal and external security United States of America.

For the forseeable future the USA continues to be the best hope for individual freedom and liberty across this planet.

There may be only 3-4 living people that would be worse than re-electing Barak Obama, and I thank G-d that Jimmy Carter is ineligible to run... ( for different reasons than BO).

4 years or 8, look on historians to ferret out the inane electorate that allowed such as BO to take our once vaulted office of the POTUS- I remember how some were openly aghast at the peanut farmers rise.

A third party vote or non-vote is a vote for Obama. This vote is not between Hitler and Stalin... it’s more like Hitler and... perhaps... Charles de Gaulle.

The battle is still grass roots, support your local politician. Let us do what’s right.

One has yet to be born.

Well, barring the second coming of Ronald Reagan, I tend to agree with you.

But.. I think we could say we were united behind GWB.

This time though, there is no unity except we strongly prefer NotMitt.

However, you can't run nobody against somebody and until there is unity behind somebody... nothing changes.

And this is where we are right now, still.

” - - - My prayer all along has been to get a replacement for Romney at the convention so we can defeat that Marxist usurping bastard. Romney is a big “L” loser.”

I agree.

I am not convinced that Romney can beat Obama. He is just to risky a Nominee to beat the Creepy Kenyan Commie Obama.

If the goal is to soundly defeat the Socialist/Marxist surge in present day Amerika (i.e. beat both Romney and Obama), then we should encourage the Delegates to Vote ABSTAIN on the First Ballot in Tampa, and thus DUMP Romney.

We should also lobby our Delegates to choose a CONSERVATIVE Nominee who can BEAT OBAMA.

My standard of excellence are men with the values of R Sc Sen. Jim DeMint, and R Fla. Rep. Allen West.

Your thoughts?

I completely agree. Unfortunately, we are likely to pay dearly for that vacuum.

A third party vote or non-vote is a vote for Obama.

Every huffy, self-righteous scold in Mittens' online Sister-Wife Squadron, to date, has failed to answer this simple, elementary mathematics query. Let's see if any can do so this time out (for a change):

********************

Posit the following vote totals, just for the sake of this demonstration:

OBAMA: 1,000,000 votes.

MITTENS: 1,000,000 votes.

OTHER: 1,000,000 votes.

Further posit that my vote is the sole ballot remaining, and yet to be cast.

Demonstrate: How my NOT casting a vote for Mittens increases Obama's vote total from 1,000,000 to any other positive or negative integer, anywhere along the numerical scale.

Use both sides of the paper, if necessary. Show ALL of your work.

DeMint would be an excellent choice in my opinion! Thanks!

Right, but Jim says that he wants to stay in the US Senate. He would make a great replacement for Son-of-a-Mitch McConnell.

Give the DUMP Romney Campaign some thought, as we have about 6 weeks to DUMP Romney.

A National Election is such a terrible thing to waste.

“I certainly hope that Obama doesn’t take Texas, which he considers a Battleground State BTW, by one Vote. LOL”

Now, that’s funny.

“I hope you don’t take my comments as inciting an argument because I have warned by others here that they are “monitoring” my Posts.”

I wouldn’t have posted to you the first time if I thought you wanted an argument because I stopped posting on Romney threads several weeks ago due to the “verbal violence”.

I’ve read every post on this thread and your comment that if we couldn’t elect a real conservative candidate this time with the Obama mess, we never would, was the most insightful post here. I worked in our Republican Party in Texas but I have given up hope as I have watched it turn less conservative to embrace socialist Romney. I can’t be one of those people.

I have to do my own thing even if it makes no difference in the big picture. Too bad you don’t live closer - we could have a drink together ‘cause I think you are a smart guy.

But, who is the replacement?

We couldn't agree on the notMitt during the primary when it mattered. It seems to me we have the same problem as before and still no answer for it now.

I have a couple of Friends in Austin. They are big Ted Cruz supporters, so I hope he pulls it off. Wasn't there a Debate tonight?

Thanks for the compliment. I haven't had one of those on this Forum in a long time. LOL

BTW - If I was closer, I would accept your invitation. Then again, that's why God invented the Airplane, although he couldn't have done it without Obama’s Government showing Him the way.

The herd of cats problem. Can’t figure out who to try to use to elbow Romney aside even symbolically. Can’t figure out who to cast a protest vote for.

Has the United States become the Untied States?

Your question about Newt: he was my choice from very early on. Yes, I think Newt could now pick up some of those Freepers who were set against him earlier. All our previous candidates are now in Romney’s corner except one doesn’t hear from Santorum any more.

Because I contributed to Newt’s campaign, I get regular emails from his group promoting Romney. I promptly delete them without reading now.

The only money I contribute now is to Jim Robinson/FR. Jim is like our founding fathers - he isn’t changing his convictions, isn’t giving in, just as our founding fathers didn’t give in to mother England. If the entire country wimps out, Jim and I will be standing together (I’ll get him out of that wheelchair) holding a framed version of the Declaration of Independence. That is how strongly I feel our country is in terrible danger. Where would the Patriot Army be to take back our country? I fear there would not be one.

Well, you Nevermitters probably will never get kicked off of FR for your digs at how asinine “Mittbots” are. You’ll probably BE here for the Mitt inauguration. (Obama as the incumbent can’t stand even before such a dodgy challenger if they’re tied at this point. It’s the economy. Mitt with his Bain is Mr. Jobs, not as in Apple.) Then the answer of whether the Mitt strategy remodeling to “severe conservatism” was all in vain will see a definite answer.

IF MITT AS PRESIDENT WALKS AS HE CAMPAIGNED... are you folks willing to eat crow?

Hi, Gator. I got on this thread since it’s not a drop a bomb on everyone posting. I think Kickass Conservative is right that we will never have a conservative candidate if we couldn’t get one this year to oppose Hussein.

I have given up on the Republican Party. I am now a “Party of One” - ME. I am the president and treasurer and secretary of my party and I write the platform for my party. No one can be in my party but me. You want a party? Make up your own.

If I get ticked off at my party, I’ll have a few drinks and talk to myself until I fix it.

I’m just ticked off at the whole world situation and the water that got on my beautiful Pergo floor last week during the 50 year flood we had here.

Nope, I don’t need or want a personal party. I simply appointed myself King.

King Gator ... I like that. Now all I need is my treasure, my Knights and my subjects. Oh, I also need dungeons, lots and lots of ‘em, because that is where I am going to stuff all of the politicians and democrats.

I think I will use Alcatraz for my fist dungeon. I am going to drop off 1000 politicians at a time and food for two. 30 days later, another 1000 and food for two. It won’t take long to resolve a good many of our problems.

Oh, and once a month I am going to launch a nuke just for fun.

Sorry about your floor.

"What bizzaro world do you live in? Obamacare was fashioned after Romneycare. Romney’s words are hollow and counter to what he has done in the past. Only naïve, gullible, followers of the crowd will vote for Romney. Sheeple who can be led down the road to socialism will fall in behind him unaware that they are being led to slavery."

Ok, so what should we do? Write in Sarah Palin? Ya that will help. She'll get .03% of the vote and Obama will win.

It sounds to me like you WANT Obamacare. Romney and the Republicans are pretty heavily tied to repeal of this bill. You however think we have a better chance of regaining liberty with Obama. I guess you plan on Obama being abducted by aliens and replaced with someone who is not openly trying to destroy America. If your comeback is Romney is the same as Obama then I guess you would say Adolph Hitler and Roger Clemens are the same because they both lied. You are living in a bizzaro world where Obama and Romney are one in the same.

These threads are hopeless and clueless.
