It's easy for me to understand how he thinks this way because, after all, he is collecting royalties on two books somebody else wrote.

Timing is everything.

It is foolhardy to 'do something' too early like poor Mr. Lakin and others like him have done.

Taking a principled stand is admirable, but without a popular groundswell behind you, it usually ends up as martyrdom and is rather stupid.

The important element here is 'fully revealing himself.'

IF Mr. Sotero ever goes there, any pretense of waiting is over and then action will commence.

Scoff all you want, but if Barry declares himself king his reign will be a short one.
