A thousand-plus packed the auditorium, last night, July 16, at Reform Congregation Keneseth Israel in Elkins Park, Pa. for a rally sponsored by Jewish Americans for Obama. While the crowd may have been almost all Jewish not all of them were for Obama and things at times got contentious with shouting matches breaking out in the audience.
The headline speaker was Democrat National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who represents Florida's 20th District in Congress. Unexpected heckling to her claims that the President was a strong supporter of Israel visibly upset and flustered her.

Seems like Wasserman Schultz and her pro-Obama crowd got a long-overdue but unexpected comeuppance from anti-'Rat folks in a Jewish audience. As to be expected, they didn't handle it very well.

Unexpected heckling to her claims that the President was a strong supporter of Israel visibly upset and flustered her. So, was she totally clueless that anyone would disagree with the administration's position OR was she flustered because the crowd knew the truth, she was lying, and they told her so.

No worries. 85% of Jews will continue to vote for the party of FDR.

In old America, political rallies at churches and synagogues resulted in removal of nonprofit status from the hosting organization. In new America, so long as that church or synagogue toes the party line, the IRS looks the other way.
It must be good to be king.

This is a hopeful sign that Romney might do better than expected among Jewish voters in November. This in Pennsylvania, which seems to be a battle ground at this point!

There is a good possibility, that the 85% of Jewish voters who will return to vote for Obama (like a dog returns to its own vomit) are also not very strong supporters of the concept of Israel. Else why would they think they are “better off” in the US than they may be in Israel?

Else why would they think they are better off in the US than they may be in Israel? If they were in Germany in 1933, they probably thought Hitler would actually be a good thing, because he only wanted to get rid of the "Bad" Jews.
