Trayvon Martin's parents to appear in Little Rock
A news release says the National Association of Black Law Enforcement Executives, meeting in Little Rock next week, will hear from the parents of Trayvon Martin at a civil rights breakfast at 8 a.m. Tuesday. Martin is the 17-year-old black youth shot in Sanford, Fla., in a case that has drawn worldwide attention for the police's initial decision not to charge the shooter, George Zimmerman, though Martin was unarmed.
Also speaking will be former Little Rock Mayor Lottie Shackelford. Awards also are planned, including to the Little Rock Nine; to Keith Jackson for his P.A.R.K. after-school program; to William "Sonny" Walker, a former Arkansan, for his civil rights work, and to former Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders.

You’re right about that. Tray daddy had a Crip recognition tattoo on his neck until sometime after his son’s death. Now it looks like a pair of hands held in prayer. My guess is they’re in “Show me the money” mode.

He wasn't unarmed. He had his fists which he knew how to use and the element of surprise and the cover of darkness and a nearby sidewalk for headbashing purposes.
I love the use of "unarmed" as if at a disadvantage, but he was a lean fast 6'2" tall 17 y/o fighting machine versus a slow obese 5'7" 28 y/o pencil pusher.
Wanna bet that somehow they got some sort of governmnet grant to exist in this mean ol' white man's world so we're footing the bill for this circus.

Not unless the prosecution wants to allege that Zimmerman profiled Trayvon as "hot", chased him down to get into his pants, and then ...... On second thought, the prosecution is so desperate that I wouldn't put it past them.

If these parents had shown this much support for their son when he was alive...he probably would not have beaten up George Zimmerman, then get capped by him
