During an interview with CBS's Charlie Rose that aired on Monday morning, President Obama said his proudest achievement over the past three and a half years is stabilizing the economy, not his signature health care reform law.
“My proudest achievement is actually stabilizing the economy to avert a great depression, because if I don’t do that nothing else matters,” Obama said. “And the central question becomes building on what we've done. Where do we go from here?”

In a very real way, he is a modern day messiah...
His top achievement was stabilizing the economy? If stabilizing the economy means that the unemployment rate increased rather than decreased; if the housing market has been in a rebound; if the number of people on food stamps decreased a meaningful amount, maybe he did stabilize the economy. But wait; none of that happened did it?
I said it after his first month or so in office: he has no understanding whatsoever about economics, no matter how you slice it.
Grounding a ship on shallow rocky reefs also “stabilizes” the ship. Sure keeps it from going anywhere.

I’m glad that things have “stabilized” in a consistent downward trajectory.
My school and core beliefs is that the economy will do just fine, and straighten out itself, IF and WHEN the U.S. Congress, Senate and President STOP tipping the scales, and tweaking trying to make it recover......
