President George W. Bush stepped in Friday to keep America's auto industry afloat, announcing a $17.4 billion bailout for GM and Chrysler, with the terms of the loans requiring that the firms radically restructure and show they can become profitable soon....

bush saved the auto industry. obama saved the UAW.
Bush was a Big Government Republican, just like Romney will be.
Everyone loves Bush!
What’s the problem again?
Bush gave them BRIDGE LOANS to get through until the Dem Congress could decide what they would do, after the inauguration.
Obama changed the terms of the agreement arbitrarily, put his own Cronies in charge, and stole the companies from creditors, to give to his union lackey’s.

Yes, of course. 'He' helped to pick those winners. Not every business was so lucky.
Everyone knows, that Obama simply expands the footprint that Bush created with overreach.
The auto companies and banks should have survived or failed on their own. Crony capitalism is neither conservative nor constitutional.
Blame Reagan(tm).
Off topic but I couldn’t help but notice that in the “god, guns, and country” freeper ad shown on this page and others, that the gun pictured is a Beretta, an Italian company.

Bush was such a “gentleman” wuss he requested the release of the entire $700 BILLION in TARP funds on his watch- his last 8 weeks in offcie
the second half of TARP ($350 BILLION) Bush requested just a week before obama took office- to help out the kenyan and give him a nice slush fund starting his first day in office
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123177778175873781.html
this TARP2 is a lot of what was shoveled to the UAW as the TARP “rules” (such as they were) were rewritten by Pelosi et al to allow propping up GM and the UAW

Of course the entire $700 BILLON has consistently been added to and labeled “the Bush deficit” that obama “inherited”...that entire $700Billion TARP effectively DOUBLED the “Bush deficit” in his lats 8 weeks in office
Even as Bush released the second half of TARP to help put his new friend Barry, Barney Frank was sniping that the democrats “needed” the money because “Bush mismanaged” the first part of the TARP
This is what I CANNOT STAND ABOUT GEORGE BUSH - he just kept letting the democrats kick him in the azz and turning the other cheek - noblesse oblige
That moment clarified how Obama was going to ‘rule’ (according to Valerie Jarrett). The Auto Industry did go through bankruptcy Obama style. He ignored the law and made it up as he went along to patronize his supporters. There was no court rulings, only Obama dictats.
There was serious damage done to our ‘code’ in our society.
Destruction of Private property rights is next.
Let’s let Bush’s Government Motors go down the Obamahole.
