Could the Romney campaign be forced to consider Pit Bull candidates such as Chris Christie or Newt Gingrich to help the GOP go on offense against Obama's unfair, untrue Romney attacks? Milktoast candidates such as Pawlenty, Condi Rice, Portman, etc. may not fit the bill.
Problem with Gingrich is his full blown attacks against Bain Capital in the primary. He won’t be the pick.
Hillary is available. She’d be a perfect combo with Willard.
If they have buried the hatchet...anything is possible.
That’s too bad. Gingrich could be the perfect prescription for Gov. Romney’s campaign. Knows the issues better than anyone else on the horizon and can out_debate them all.
Let’s face it. It’s a beauty contest. There isn’t enough lipstick and eyeshadow for either one. Next!
He is a pitt bull that would destroy Obama and Biden, energize the base, bring to Romney a deep understanding of how the system works (and doesn't work), bring to Romney a vast knowledge of foreign affairs and history, and keep the responsibility for the requisite nastiness away from Romney.
romney is getting a taste of his own tactics after what he did to Newt and Santorum along with four year ago attacks on huckleberry and McCain. If romney has a brain his VP would be Hurricane Palin, Newt, or West. Palin has already been vetted and the commies fired every bullet at her and she is still standing strong. They have no more ammo to fire at Sarah and she would be an excellent pick.
Both Newt and Krispy Kreme have mouths that Romney wouldn’t risk adding to his team.
Instead, I think we should look to whom among the milquetoasts he would perceive to be politically assertive. TPaw, maybe?
Nah, I still guess that Portman’s the guy he wants to pick—and so he’ll find a way to rationalize that.
Ryan or West could shred Barry0.
Amen on Allen West. He’s the best pit bull and a quick responder.
Why do people constantly feel the desire to parrot pundits? In response to this latest RUMOR about Condi, her spokeswoman said no almost immediately and then Condi came out again and said no.
Just what is it that people just don’t understand about NO!? But no, they’re just too fargin smart to realize that if she were to flip after being so emphatic that she and the campaign would be discredited big time anyway. Sheesh!
Must have been a slow day at the Drudge novelty stand. Maybe he should do what he does best. Sell papers, candy and sodas while looking important at spreading rumors. He was played by someone big time.
Top Romney source my arsche! I would wager it is the etch-a-sketch douche-bag wanting to stir things up just to show everyone just how friggin smart he is, not. The Stupid Party never ceases to amaze me with their total and utter incompetence or the people who support them to fall for it EVERY TIME IT IS TRIED.
Actually, has Romney considered asking Obama to be his VP? They see eye to eye on everything!
I’d more likely suspect dem subterfuge. They have done it for years.
Newt would be a good pick but I think he will go for someone else—They will be a former Governor and from the southern states. They will not be everyone’s choice but I tend to think they will be conservative to some degree. Someone who did well in the primaries would be good. A pit Bull is needed to carry the fight to the foe. I don’t see any republican women, save Sarah Palin, who could do this and she is toxic. Rubio is too much of a pandering choice—a vain attempt to get Mexican votes. Christie would be interesting—but he may well be better for another job. The Governor of Texas? Bobbie J.? A political animal is needed—and one that will make the Tea Party sing loud and hard and bring in the south.
That is conventional, inside-the-box thinking.
Romney's success in life is due almost completely to his application of the Bill Bain approach to problem solving and growth...and that is the use of "strategy" and the relentless way it is implemented.
Strategy, in Bain's case, is defined as (I paraprase) "determine the goals (long and short) and develop an equation of how to get there...and then wage all out war to implement said strategy and achieve the objective."
Thinking outside the box is a big part of what Bain and Romney do!
Yeah, but Romney is already under attack over Bain and no matter how much of a total BS red-herring the attacks may be, Gingrich’s having made such attacks would only lend support to those attacks.
