I thought it might be interesting to see which right-of-center websites actually receive the most traffic. So, I went to Alexa.com and ranked the 50 sites on the right. Do keep in mind that
1) Alexa doesnt distinguish between top level domains and their sub-directories. So, for example, a blog on Townhall and Townhall itself would have the same rating. Additionally, websites hosted at places like Blogspot, which list each blog on a sub-directory, cant be measured. My guess is that it only knocked 2-4 websites max off the list including Ace of Spades HQ, Gateway Pundit, & Big Hollywood.
2) Although I have found Alexa to be generally accurate, it does occasionally make mistakes and certainly isnt as on target as a statistics tracker.
3) I didnt deliberately leave any right-of-center websites off the list, including the Libertarian websites. So, if you are supposed to be on list and werent included, feel free to send me an email.
All 50 websites are listed with their Alexa rank following their link. So for example, a 1″ would mean the page was the most popular website on the net. A 100,000″ would mean the 100,000th most popular page on the net. With that being said, lets go ahead and take a look at the rankings.

Update #1: Jihad Watch emailed to note that theyre at 29,887. That would put them at #26. Sorry, I missed you, guys!
Update #2: Canada Free Press is at 73,555 which would put them at #55 on the original list.
Update #3: The great thing I have found about doing these lists is that if you miss a site, by the end of the day, someone will be sure to let you know about it =D Here a handful of other websites that were missed.
The Ron Paul Forums is at 29,341, which means they would have come in at #25 on the original list.
Onenewsnow ranks at 9,388, which would have put it at #12.
PS: Ive had a couple people suggest that Infowars should be on the list, but I consider that to be a loony, anti-authority conspiracy site more than a conservative website. Others may disagree.
Update #4: The Business & Media Institutecomes in at 79,500, which would have put it at #58.
I believe you have a poor argument my friend. Making a profit is not evil in most cases. For what FR provides on a cost/benefit analysis, Mr. Robinson has them beat hands down.
I have an issue with anyone promoting "envy" agendas or politics. IMHO It's the same is bigotry and racism.
A more plausible question would be which of them ISN'T making money "from their ad stuffed, self-promoting, sales cart inundated websites?" Otherwise they wouldn't have profit. Is there something wrong with making a profit?
Jim could easily sell this site for millions, if not tens-of-millions of dollars.
Did you not see the anti-Jim Robinson thread from TrueBlueRinos?
If you had, you’d understand what is being said.
It is the most important Conservative counter punch in America against Hard Left bias in the Main Stream Media.

Of course, my comment here is long after the time of your posting on FR, but I feel it is significant that your error could have led to incorrect conclusions during the election-frenzy realignment of sites on the list.
FYI
I think someone else mentioned that in one of the posts, but then JR or someone posted a newer listing that was similar to this one.
So, it didn’t really matter.
FR was still near the top. And if you take out those that aren’t really conservative websites, FR is even higher.
Clarification: posted it as a newer thread all its own.
Thank you very much, xzins!!
And thank you very much, John Hawkins and Right Wing News!!
And thank you very much FReepers for making Free Republic the leading INDEPENDENT, self-funded and unabashedly pro-God, pro-Life, pro-family, pro-constitution, pro-small government, pro-Liberty, pro-GUN, pro-borders, pro-defense, pro-AMERICA grassroots patriotic conservative forum on the “Net!!
Oops, didn’t notice this was an old thread that had been bumped.
But we’re still the leading INDEPENDENT, self-funded and unabashedly pro-God, pro-Life, pro-family, pro-constitution, pro-small government, pro-Liberty, pro-GUN, pro-borders, pro-defense, pro-AMERICA grassroots patriotic conservative forum on the Net!!
Woo hoo!!
No advertisers, no sales promotions, no merchandising, no gimmicks. No corporate string pullers, no sugar daddies, no government grants, no tax subsidies.
No stable of paid writers, reporters or editors, no syndicates.
Unencumbered, unbeholden to outsiders, no bosses to please or lose funding.
Just us free citizens exercising our constitutional rights.
Awesome news Jim! Your and John’s hard work has paid off! I am among friends here! :)
Jim Thompson.
This is good, and I believe personally that all FReepers should feel very good about belonging to this great site, and chip in some $$$ whenever they can. The donate link, and the PO Box address in Fresno are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days of the year. Send whatever you can folks.
Right now is the best time ever to send a donation to the cause of keeping the doors open no matter how large. I know how embarrassing it can be to send in those really BIG contributions to the cause, but YOU ARE A FREEPER, YOU ARE TOUGH, and I know you can do it.
Try Ad Block Plus and watch those ads and popups disappear.
Couldn’t happen to a better guy, Mr. Jim!
Don’t know where I’d be without FR! Thank you!
You beat me to it. I really like Weasel Zippers.
Woohoo!
Love the ‘independent’ reminder! Wonder how long it will take the GOPe, RINOS, democrat leftists and state run media traitors to catch on that most new ‘independents’ are not left wing low information voters? I have been describing myself of late on Twitter as ‘an independent Reagan conservative’. Screw the GOPe and Marxist media!
Let’s roll!
