Unbelievable. Time to cross another country off my "want to visit" list. I am down to five or six countries that I would even think about visiting.

Of course I would hate to see them destroyed but it would be interesting to see what secrets they still hold.

Maybe the muzzie brothers will let Bill Clinton’s wife detonate the first batch of explosives since she helped bring muzzie style “democracy” to Egypt.

This goes with the fundamentalists in Mali who have, ironically enough, destroyed Sufi monuments. Of course, they will kill Sufi of either Sunni or Shia persuasions. They are the moderate Muslims everyone pins their hopes on. Lots of luck.

Some people won’t be happy until Egypt is nothing but a gigantic trapezoid of sand, populated solely by the certifiably insane.

This is so wrong. I’m sure the Pyramids hold some secrets and if they blow them up, we will lose those secrets as well. I’m convinced that with the exceptions of the Sufis and the Druze, Islam is basically a doomsday machine.

After the Luxor massacre, Egypt should be off anyone’s “want to visit” list. But to the topic, the Egyptian military is not going to allow any Egyptian civilians to screw with its biggest cash cow.
To: dewawi
Why not, they already have started destroying the antiquities of Eqypt.
Sickening.

"Egypt's Government Planning to Destroy the Great Pyramids?" The muslims started on this project a long time ago - who do you think pried off the polished limestone outer casing and carted it off to build Cairo?

Well they destroyed that ancient Buddist statue
and that was a shame...
Go ahead and destroy one of the only reasons infidel tourists visit Egypt and spend 100s of Millions every year...

Undoubtedly this is a trail balloon to see if the “international Community” will pony up billions of dollars for the so-called “preservation” of the pyramids.
Instead, I suggest the international community set up a pay per view to see the day when they blow them up. Artillery and tank shellings would be pretty good for viewership.
