George P. Bush said on Tuesday that its never too late for Mitt Romney to take a leadership role in the immigration debate, but he acknowledged Republicans were outflanked by President Obamas election-year decision to allow hundreds of illegal immigrants to remain in the country without fear of deportation.
Governor Romney had an opportunity to get in front of the president on the issue, said Mr. Bush, 36, the son of former Gov. Jeb Bush of Florida. But the president clearly has taken the initiative on it.

“Stay out da bushes!”
Man, I hate to admit it but Jessie Jackson was right all along!
Stay out da Bushes . . .
And we should care about what Progeny of Jeb say because???
Isn’t there an island somewhere in search of a ruling family?
George P. Bush is a different and newer generation of “compassionate conservatism”.
He stands to have a long and illustrious career in positions of honor and prestige, some of which may even be elective in nature.
But the brand is still a little tarnished, going to have to be polished up quite a bit.
Why does anyone care what this nobody says?
seems like this has more to do with the family on his mother’s side.
Is this the one caught with the girl behind the shopping center? (at least he was dated a girl)
On FNF this morning an illegal alien was pushing to be admitted to the bar via amnesty. The key was the immigration lawyer was out of options and was pushing the court of public opinion. It will be interesting to see if the FL bar allows a lie to gain admission into law school will persuade the FL bar.
“hundreds” ???
The last thing the Republican campaigns need this year is a bunch of so-called Republicans running around spouting off about illegal aliens and amnesty programs, and what sort of pandering positions Romney and the party should adopt. Rubio and the Bushes and any others playing this unneeded role do nothing but harm the party’s chances, and that might well be what some of them intend.
And what a ridiculous smile. P’s are some of the most unneeded and unhelpful comments so far this campaign season.
.
Looking at that boy with his dark features and course hair kinda hard to believe Jeb Bush is his old man. Looks all Mexican to me.
The Dims and the MSM care because they can use remarks from this character who was born into the Bush family to put Romney and other Republicans on the spot concerning the illegal alien/amnesty issues.
"And, Governor Romney, what is your reaction to the recent remarks of George P. Bush....?
Good Lord new shrub in the RINO corral.
It must be in the DNA!
The Bush family
mix a little mexican, cyuban, whatever flavor of spanic blood in somebody and all they can think about is helping the mexican invaders
Pretty out-of-touch for the Bush’s to be still holding onto this issue, Amnesty.
Illegals should be deported. Period.
If the Unemployment level was at 3% I could understand why some bleeding heart liberal republicans would focus on such an issue.
Out-of-touch!
Fool, Republicans can’t out-liberal Democrats. Dems will always end up with the highest bid.
You will note that I included the full text of his argument, so as not to be accused of quoting the man out-of-context.
