Did he attend classes at Columbia?

Henry Franklin Graff, professor emeritus of history at Columbia for 46 years, has cast doubt on claims Obama attended classes at the New York City university.

“I have no recollection of Barack Obama at Columbia, and I am sure he never attended any of my classes,” Graff told WND in a telephone interview.

“For 46 years, I taught political history, diplomatic history and one of the pioneering courses on presidential history, and every future politician of note who went through Columbia in those years took one or more of my classes – every one, that is, except Barack Obama.”

Graff further told WND no professor he knew could remember having Obama as a student at Columbia.

“Nobody I knew at Columbia ever remembers Obama being there,” Graff insisted.

We've had a number of threads concerning who obama looks like. If he looks at all like the people who he claims to be his relatives then he looks like his mother, or maybe his sister, and certainly like his grandfather, or maybe his father ~ we have a thesis going that Daddy was Grandpa with one of Obama Sr's sister's in Africa.

The interesting turn of events to me is the girlfriend that Obama lived with in New York.

Stepfather was son of (if i remember that right) of a good friend of Alger Hiss - Philip Jessup. Even after the conviction Jessup still stood up for Alger Hiss.

Interesting story of Jessup. Truman had to do a recess appointment.

Dean Acheson was a close friend of Jessup.

That's just crazy. Obama's no CIA guy. Why do people "speculate" about such absurdities?

You're assuming the CIA 1) is a whole, 2) is wholly concerned for the wellbeing of the average citizen.
#1 is faulty if they have been infiltrated, or if there are differing ideological groups therein.
#2 is an assumption which I now withold from nearly every government agency; the military getting the most "benefit of the doubt" but they lost a lot with LTC Lakin's court martial.

The College is part of the University and is located on the main University campus at 116th Street and Broadway in Manhattan.

It is a sad state of affairs when one can look at the current Zombie attacks and realize that it is quite possible (although, maybe not probable) that the CIA could be behind it.

How quickly we forget that the Washington Post had a spy of its own in the CIA inspector general's office (McCarthy I believe). She got caught eventually, but ask yourself, "Self, how in the h e double toothpicks did the Post get a spy inside the CIA"?

Obama’s Account of New York Years Often Differs From What Others Say

One person who did remember Mr. Obama was Michael L. Baron, who taught a senior seminar on international politics and American policy. Mr. Baron, now president of an electronics company in Florida, said he was Mr. Obama’s adviser on the senior thesis for that course. Mr. Baron, who later wrote Mr. Obama a recommendation for Harvard Law School, gave him an A in the course.

Columbia was a hotbed for discussion of foreign policy, Mr. Baron said. The faculty included Zbigniew Brzezinski, the former national security adviser, and Zalmay Khalilzad, now the American ambassador to the United Nations. Half of the eight students in the seminar were outstanding, and Mr. Obama was among them, Mr. Baron said.

Michael J. Wolf, who took the seminar with him and went on to become president of MTV Networks, said: “He was very smart. He had a broad sense of international politics and international relations. It was a class with a lot of debate. He was a very, very active participant. I think he was truly distinctive from the other people in that class. He stood out.”

Mr. Obama graduated in 1983. In his memoir, he says he had decided to become a community organizer but could not persuade anyone to hire him. So he found “more conventional work for a year” to pay off his student loans.
