Obama's 'missing year' at Columbia found?

Did he attend classes at Columbia?

Henry Franklin Graff, professor emeritus of history at Columbia for 46 years, has cast doubt on claims Obama attended classes at the New York City university.

“I have no recollection of Barack Obama at Columbia, and I am sure he never attended any of my classes,” Graff told WND in a telephone interview.

“For 46 years, I taught political history, diplomatic history and one of the pioneering courses on presidential history, and every future politician of note who went through Columbia in those years took one or more of my classes – every one, that is, except Barack Obama.”

Graff further told WND no professor he knew could remember having Obama as a student at Columbia.

“Nobody I knew at Columbia ever remembers Obama being there,” Graff insisted.

Have you looked up the Doctor who intervened in Lolo Soetoro’s immigration file on Ann’s behalf? He was an OBGYN.

There are some wild peripherial possible characters in Obama’s story.

The story of Penrose is an interesting one. Here is the story of his boss.

http://www.keyholepublishing.com/Death%20of%20James%20Forrestal.htm

Murdered or driven insane...or both.

Don’t have an opinion because today is the first day I have heard of Penrose or his boss.

Strange but not impossible -- If he applied but didn't attend, he could block release of that Information.

I suppose but.......very strange. Why would he think to do that.?

The article clearly states that he attended Columbia for the 82-83 year but the speculation is that he did not attend during the 81-82 year.

IF the boss of Penrose was murdered there is a who and why.

The author of that article theorizes several possibilities

One:

“If we concede the possibility of murder, we must ask who and why? One can hardly credit the budget issue, which was settled by then and especially moot once Forrestal was out of office. One proponent of the murder theory blamed Communists within the U.S. government, or perhaps even the Soviet KGB/GPU. The reason, it was claimed, had to do with Forrestal’s diaries and plans for a book after his release from the hospital. Forrestal was an inveterate anti-Communist, and might have been perceived as problematic for agents of the Soviets. Moreover, the Soviets were no strangers to the art of staged suicides. Of course, neither were the Americans.”

So..Acheson, Jessup, Alger Hiss...Penrose thrown in for good measure..leading up to Cook supposedly a girlfriend of Obama..with Obama sending a message on an open mic to Putin that he needs more space because after the election he will have more flexibility...and down the rabbit hole we go

Replacing a comment upthread and correcting an error:

http://www.seattleweekly.com/2008-10-22/news/may-the-best-mom-win/

“...But she returned to live in Seattle around 1962, after Barack was born in August 1961, leaving her husband, Kenya-born Barack Sr., and his newborn namesake in Hawaii. She lived on Capitol Hill and enrolled at the University of Washington...”

And then they raise a phony transcript that commences in September 1961 for OBAMA, Stanley Ann Dunham...a year BEFORE she left her husband and son in Hawaii.

One has to wonder, is the author Richard Anderson the husband of the Chantal Anderson at the U of WA:

Obama’s Seattle home?

Posted by Chantal Anderson

“Some interesting records have emerged in the past few months supporting the belief that President Obama lived for a time as a baby in an apartment on Capitol Hill with his mother, Stanley Ann Dunham...”

YOU KNOW WHAT’S REALLY FUNNY?! THE ADDRESS IN THE POLK WAS FOR ANNA OBAMA. WHO WAS SHE?

This is a “former” OSS agent. What you linked is the official story. Doesn’t mean it is true. Of course, he could have just died in his sleep at the age of 46 as they claim.

He has an interesting history in the OSS. Given some of his comments in secret correspondence ..there is a question as to how he ended up with a Rabbi on his team who developed an espionage network.

btw, for those not up to speed on the OSS, Balkans was the name of the game for the Cairo OSS office

“Extract of Letter From Penrose Dated 3 March 1944,” describing the multiple interrogations of the “bodies which X-2 brought down from Istanbul,” 3 pp. The bodies were those of a Mr. and Mrs. Kleckowski and one Wilhelm Hamburger. The memo describes difficulties in carrying out the interrogations, commenting that “the lack of collaboration between X-2 and SI might produce most unfortunate results.”

Yes. I missed it. This was something I was not closely looking at until someone (maybe you) posted the OSS info.

Then, it took another turn for me.

Back when Cook was first brought into the scene I found the Jessup info and posted it along with the Beirut info. But I didn’t dig deep enough.

Ada AUB Commemorates 50 years of the Death of President Stephen B. Penrose

Left to right: Ibrahim Khoury, Khalil Bitar, Nuhad Daghir, Samir khalaf, Sarah Waterbury, President john Waterbury.
Fifty years have passed since the death of AUB President Stephen Penrose, who, like Howard Bliss and Malcolm Kerr, died while in office.

Stephen Penrose died of a heart attack at the age of 46 on December 9, 1954. He had come to Beirut from Walla Walla, Washington, after having completed his undergraduate studies in physics at Whitman College. When

he came to AUB he taught physics from 1928 until 1931. He later returned to the United States to earn a PhD in

philosophy at Columbia University.

In 1948, Professor Penrose came back to AUB, not as a professor but as the fifth president of AUB. He was known for his dedication to the University. Not only did he work hard on gathering funds for the University, but he also

played a vital role in establishing the School of Public Health, which, now the Faculty of Health Sciences, is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary this year. Penrose wrote what President John Waterbury describes as “the single best history of AUB, entitled That They May Have Life,” published in Beirut in 1941.

Since 1955, one graduating student from each of the faculties at AUB, distinguished for his or her “scholarship, character, leadership, and contribution to university life,” has received the Penrose Award, named after the late president.

On December 9, 2004, exactly fifty years after the death of Stephen Penrose, AUB President John Waterbury, his wife Sarah, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences Nuhad Daghir, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences Khalil Bitar, Professor Samir Khalaf, Director of Information and Public Relations Ibrahim Khoury, and Captain Saadallah Shalak visited Stephen Penrose’s grave in the British-American Cemetery in Sin el Fil. President Waterbury, who placed a bouquet of flowers on the grave of Stephen Penrose, said that “all of AUB, Beirut and Lebanon were shocked and saddened by his sudden passing away in 1954. His death came a mere six days after Founders’ Day. He is survived today by his three children, Dale, Polly, and Steve. Stephen Penrose lay the foundations for AUB’s great period of growth and excellence in the 1950s and 1960s. We should look back on his tenure with gratitude and deep respect.”
