TAMPA -- A man enters a Clearwater strip club. He leaves three hours later thinking he's spent $600.
A few days later he checks his credit card account and learns he was charged $50,000.
There's no punchline or joke.
That's what Lokesh Simon James said happened to him after a March night spent at the Bliss Cabaret, 3860 Ulmerton Road.

“There are much higher class establishments within minutes of Bliss that would likely not be filled with meth-addicted credit card scammers”
Birds of a feather flock together. I wonder what kind of an upstanding citizen this person could be?
If your husband is a wonderful, loving man who loves you and treats you well, why throw out the baby with the bath water? Will you really sacrifice your marriage over the first mistake? If he loves you and treats you well try counseling first. Remember, the Bible is about forgiveness too. If he doesn’t love you and your marriage has other problems the strip club excuse is as good as any to kick him to the curb.
I suppose my libido was never that strong. Age can account for it now but never in my life did I have any interest in going to a strip club or anything like it.
“Will you really sacrifice your marriage over the first mistake?”
I’m not naive enough to think it’s the first mistake. I’m a pilot and have heard plenty of stories. This was just my wake-up call with him getting caught. He’s wanted to have his cake and eat it, too. Marriage counseling is out when he works overseas and gets 30 days off a year. I won’t divorce him. I took my vows seriously, but he’s not coming home and giving me an STD or HIV.
We spoke about this before..there are many great guys out there who will cherish and love you and won't purposely ask for a overseas assignment and see you 30 days out of the year...they will look forward to coming home and seeing you every day.
Life is way to short Pops88 to put up with this...but it's your life. I hope you are not full of regret down the road for not doing anything now. This is what turns me off to organized religion...you thinking you need to stick this out for God when you, more than anyone, really deserve better.
Sounds like someone was trying to get caught.
I’m 53. This was my second marriage. I divorced an abusive husband. I got horribly screwed when I divorced. I lost everything, including my 2 very young children, that I was repeatedly kept from seeing. Some men actually do abuse their kids and it isn’t a false accusation. I refuse to take the chance of divorce again. I’ve lived the majority of my marriage as a single parent. I don’t want another man in my life. I’d rather have my dog as a companion. If my husband wants to cheat, not try to reconcile, while still married, then it’s his conscience.
So for all the guys that think that going to strip clubs and porn is ok- stop for a minute and think about your wives or girlfriends. To quote Joni Mitchell, “You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone.”
“Sounds like someone was trying to get caught.”
Like an animal gnawing it’s paw out of a trap.
Mistake? Forgetting to carry the one while adding two numbers, now that's a mistake? To do what he did was just wrong.
$50,000 — that must have been one fine lapdance.
I didn’t want to go that far, seein I don’t know you.
The problem is a lot of strip clubs and even bars favor the tab, there’s actually a good chance he signed off on this without paying attention. Which is where the bank’s problem comes in, they deal with these places, they know how it works, guy started a tab, signed off on a bunch of stuff, then comes the bill and the buyer’s remorse, so he claims it was only 600 bucks, but there’s a signed slip somewhere saying otherwise. He admits he was there, it’s not an itemized receipt like at Safeway, there’s no list saying how many dances, so he’s on the hook.
