LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Brad Pitt has long been an advocate for gay rights (initially vowing to hold off on marrying longtime love Angelina Jolie until gay marriage became legal nationwide), but his mother, Jane Pitt, apparently takes a different stance on the issue.
In a letter penned for her local newspaper, Jane urged Christian voters not to be put off by candidate Mitt Romneys Mormon faith, as he still maintains conservative views in line with Christian beliefs despite his differing religion including his posture on gay marriage and abortion.
I think any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon, she wrote in the opinion piece for The Springfield News-Leader this week.
Jane added that any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romneys opponent, Barack Hussein Obama a man who sat in Jeremiah Wrights church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.
While the letter may seem harsh to some, Brad has previously said his mother means no harm.
Shes very, very loving very open, genuine, and its hilarious because she always gets painted in the tabloids as a she-devil, he told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview back in January. Theres not an ounce of malice in her.
She wants everyone to be happy, the actor noted.
Indeed!
The ignorant (probably) troll was threatening to sue over a law that doesn’t exist. Good luck with that one, old chum.
Well, it takes some of us longer to learn.
;-)
Oh well, as long as we do learn, right?
Believe me, you'll need a paddle if Romney is elected President, just like the people of Massachusetts needed a new Governor.
He has become a singularity.
And he’s probably single anyway.
I have more sympathy for that frog than for the zottee.
He’s the King of Pointland.
Assuming he hasn’t been sucked into another universe, he’s probably pointless right about now.
Ignorance maybe. But this is pretty strange behavior for a 10-year FReeper. How could anyone who has been here that long be that ignorant?
“The maroon Ben Bolt actually thought that getting down on my knees and thanking God for Free Republican and Jim Robinson, was the same as “bowing to mortals.””
Yeah, I don’t think he understands Providence. God providential placed Jim Robinson where he is, to be of service. That doesn’t detract from admiring Jim, but it gives God the Glory. I knew that is what you meant! Bless You.
“you may safely assume that my determination to oust Obama will not change.”
I think you will find that ALL OF US want to oust Obama. It is just the mechanisms we chose that differ. You think electing Romney is the way, we others think there are sounder methods that don’t compromise our integrity.
“There is such a thing as “buyer’s remorse,” and a pretty smart FReeper has predicted that if Romney wins, ABOers will have the worst case of buyer’s remorse in American history.”
That calls for a big AMEN!
Is that James Hetfield? Guess the thread’s not all bad, after all. :)
Thanks for the Ping, TOL.
Reading comprehension is not your strong suit.
Thanking God for someone is bowing down to God, not to the subject of the prayer.
Wasn't paying attention? Hasn't read the Constitution? Oatmeal for brains?
Who among us has not had these problems at one time or another? ;)
No, when a lib who voted obama last time votes third party or no vote, that counts as a vote for romney. Our goal is to cancel his votes and his is to cancel ours.
My pleasure, friend.
I agree 100% on everything that you say and I say it every day here on FR. I shall not stop fighting until there is nothing left to fight for and then I will fight on some more!!!

“Jim youre voting a straight conservative ticket where ? You have the same 4 choices I have . Vote for Romney . No vote. Write in . Or for the Marxist .”
You’re incorrect. There is a constitution party candidate named Virgil Goode. Look him up and I’m sure you’ll be pleasantly surprised by his views.
