Romney seems to have a "tin ear" when it comes to listening to conservative views.
Since it is nearly impossible to mount a successful campaign against him now and come up with another viable candidate who can win in the November election, we need to be sure that our voices are heard and heeded by the Romney campaign.
Question: Do conservatives have someone in Romney's inner circle who can influence him and make sure he sticks up for our values? Is there anyone from FreeRepublic who can represent us and our concerns on his team?
How can we get a seat at Romney's table and insure that our voices are heard and our values upheld?
I pray daily that we do not meet that fate... but it does not look good at this point in time.

In November we have to vote for a liberal to save us from a Marxist. Makes about as much sense as anything these days.
Since the conventions have not been held for either party, we have no idea who will be nominated. We can guess, but we do not know.

I have seen nothing in the man in the last three weeks that would change my mind... in fact... all that I see are actions and words... or refusal to make even a comment on a controversial subject... that backup my fear and loathing of the man and the gop/e. mitch mcconnell said yesterday that he didn't think that the gop could ever repeal obamacare! Have you EVER heard any dim leader say anything like that? Have you ever heard any dim leader speak to reaching across the aisle and compromising their ideology or political agenda? Even one single time?”

I remember how all the freepers wanted anybody but Romney (I was one of them),But Romney won anyways.
I know that America needs to get rid of ObamaCare.
I see how anti Romney some freepeers are and I realize that how irrelevant they and this site can be when they have their heads in the sand, and,
Romney has a better chance of winning with out the freepers help.
So I now feel better about getting Repealing ObamaCare.
Most Americans will vote just the opposite as the anti Romney freepers thought.

Time, effort, money must be directed to battles that can be won. It is the duty of conservatives to make an assessment of Senate candidates in need of support and pick one. The time effort and money should be directed to that candidate even if he/she is across the country some where.
Carping about Romney at this point is a futile and infantile effort.
Only if you give up all of your principles.
Of course, then you're not a conservative any more. Not in any real sense.

Yes, I was attacked once for a simple youtube link to Romney’s own statement that he is who he is and he is not going to change that. That really says it all, that simple recitation or presentation of fact is considered an attack.

If he proves me wrong and governs according to the Constitution and in a meaningful way... shrinks the size and power of the Federal government and puts America back on the path of Constitutional governance... I will apologize to him and support him. That is about as likely as bill clinton admitting that he is a leftist gigolo who raped women for pleasure and destroyed the lives of his opponents... just because he could.
