The Battleaxe isn’t nearly that grouchy!
Sounds excellent! I will let you know when it’s time to form the women-only defensive perimeter ;-).
Some people just aren’t happy unless they complain. Igor, rather than being happy when things were going smoothly, would complain because he had nothing to complain about.
I watched a movie on Netflix, yesterday, called “Last of the Dog Men,” starring Tom Berenger. Excellent movie. I think it is suitable for family, as the violence is not really “seen,” but implied.
Hiya! Warm yesterday 86. Now it is only 70 outside. Have a swell day you all!
I’ve done my complaint for the day, and now I’m having a small Restorative and pretzels. (It’s after noon here ;-). Also, I made the kids go to Mass. It’s not much of a Midlife Crisis, but it’s cheaper than running away to a Spanish-speaking country with the baby.
87 here, might storm.
High 80’s? Ya pansies! It’s 102 degrees here with a “humiture” (read heat index) of 107.
;p
Overcast and gloomy here. It was 89 when I got up at 7:00 this morning, but I was too late to get the local weather. I’m sure the humidity is up in the 50’s as the air feels clammy.
Yesterday was a very nice day. I wish I had felt good enough to be out in it.
It would be nice to join you for a Restorative and a pretzel or two. IIRC we had a lot of fun doing that! LOL!
That’s one of the things I don’t miss about Texas. In fact, it’s about the only thing I don’t miss.
My memories faded to fuzz after we ran out of Diet 7-up.
cloudy here as well, yet I doubt it will rain. For some reason (well the mountains) rain goes around us. Yet not in winter LOL! Hey i was just thinking we will have snow in more than a month.
Hunting season starts Sept 15th, it always snows opening day.
LOL! up here folks would die if it hit high 90’s! ;)
Hows stig?
We had snow on Hallowe’en in Oklahoma City once. I remember because it was Tom’s first birthday, and we’d gone to the catfish restaurant at the end of our street. We came out after supper and it was snowing.
When we were at Mass earlier, it got to be time for the final prayer. Father said, “Let us pray ...” and Frank said loudly,”... for cheesecake!”
My memories are a little fuzzy, as well. I think there are several that have bits and pieces that merged.
Still, I’m looking forward to seeing all the chillrun again, and marking their growth.
Frank is always fun in church.
They’re all much taller. Tom will loom many inches above you, vulture-like.
There was a guy in Walmart, waiting at the prepared-foods counter, who looked just like Ted Nugent.
LOL!
Man after my own heart! I love cheesecake and I can guess that Frank does as well!
Saturday, I found out why our mail has been so intermittent: the man who was assigned to this route (after our favorite Jim) retired shortly after he took it, so what we have been getting since then are substitutes. They do their routes, then do this one, which is why the mail is delivered with no set time.
The postmaster has spoken. So be it.
I have a tendency to get ugly at times like these, so please, hold me back from being ... something unpleasant.
Tom? Lurking over me? Is fainting allowed?
Frank being fun in church is right up my alley. And I thought Patrick was good. I loved being surrounded by byos. That alone is worth going to church for!
