Wait til the kids find out they have to pay up for insurance.
This Obamacare tax is going to hit the young people who voted for Obama hard in their disposable income. The truth is that most young people who are out on their own, living as single adults simply don't buy insurance because (a)they think they aren't going to need it for a long time. (b)they want to spend their money on cars, cosmetics, partying, etc. (c)they'll wait until they are married with families.
Oh, but some will say it won't cost them because they can stay on Daddy's policy til they're 26. This assumes Daddy has a policy and can afford to keep them on it. Never doubt that insurance companies or the government single payor policy will find a way to charge someone for this additional "free" coverage. Looks like this benefit will mainly benefit the college attendees, not the working poor or lower middle class.
Further, do we know what the rules are on this additional benefit? Do they have to be living at home and single? In college? Not covered by their employer who chooses to pay a fine instead of carrying insurance?
Remember that the great majority of employers have less than 5 employees. What will happen to the youngsters who come out of high school ready to work but can't find a job because employers won't hire because small employers will hire fewer employees because of the tax cost of O-Care.
The whole idea behind the mandate is to make the uninsured buy insurance to spread the cost, but the real reason is to get tax money from the young who won't regularly have a need for it in order to pay for the older participants.
Since the poor, the lower middle class and the young are the major demographics of those without insurance, O-Care is going to be paid for on their backs.
Wait til the kids find out.
There is up to a $2,100 fine, and double to $4,200 if not paid by April 15th, for failing to get health insurance. hehe. Stupid kids.

They are correct - it will be free - after they buy the $700 mandated/tax health control policy. Also free will be the triage, the hours or days wait in the waiting room to see the doctor, the procedure - if their provider qualifies them in the correct age/price range, the pain pills, and the euthanasia pill when the pain gets too bad, if the procedure is denied.
Their pets, however, will be treated quickly and efficiently with the latest and greatest at a low cost - but not free.
