All assertions WRT the above are known to be false and misleading. All donations had been disclosed, and the passports were in the possession of his counsel, not held back.
As to your second question, there is nothing that has been posted with any level of verification that would define TM as a thug (you know, like assaulting a cop or throwing his girlfriend around - both things that GZ did in fact do).
He was certainly a kid with issues but that fits 30-50% of American 17 year old males. I've know more than a few guys who would make TM's life look like a girl scout's but who were stand-up, reliable members of society before they were 25. This includes black, white and spanish. A few I know were genuine gang-bangers at seventeen who ended up with twenty-year careers in the military.
