This may be part of the problem. Had I, back in the 50's, failed to respect an elder, my father would have whipped me every step of the way to the door of the person I owed an apology to just to assure that I did apologize.
But back then, adults were more important than children.

Honestly, when I saw the video, I thought the people picking on her were girls.
They sounded like girls...I guess these boys haven’t hit puberty yet.
And the Big Lie continues. The video I watched revealed the GIRLS as the main aggressors, primarily one particulatly foul-mouthed little miscreant. But that would be sexist to say so - after all, we all know it is boys who are aggressive and foul; the precious little darling females are above reproach and future leaders of the coming liberal utopia.

But perhaps these people know what I know, that the perps will get a slap on the wrist, which, in comparison, is worse.
When I was in junior high, many moons ago, 1 in 100 acts of bullying were punished. Nothing good happens to a teacher who administers punishment, so punishment is never administered.
Maybe the little bastiges are mistaking “I’d like to beat your ass” with a death thret.
Meanwhile, Karen should retire, go to Disneyland, and give 50K to whoever uploaded the video to Youtube.

Yep. You don’t teach children of this country to be kind and empathic and respectful of their elders by out bullying the bullies.
Sweetness, matching the heart demonstrated by Karen, is what should teach everyone on how best to be. The children have punishment and learning coming to them for their misbehavior.
Everyone is blaming the parents, but I don’t know these parents and can not condemn them. Children, in a pack of misbehaving peers at that age, make the decision to act like unthinking animals in a pack in following the leader rather than thinking for themselves and acting like a human being. This is how you learn to think before you become a blind follower of the coolest evil. In other words, a diversity ‘hate whitey’ hoodie mob following liberals. Or a hate fatty Moochelle follower.
How's that? These kids threatened to stab her in the stomach, and break into her house, among other vile things. The little bastards are just getting a taste of their own medicine. What goes around...comes around.
These brats are learning a good lesson: actions have consequences.
As far as people complaining about other people sending the old lady money — it’s their money. If they want to send it to the old lady, it is nobody elses’s business.
I hope she sends vacation postcards to the school those little beasts attended, with pretty pictures of Tahiti, Bermuda, Paris, Rome, etc, etc., with a note saying “Having the time of my life, and thank God I’ll never have to see you again!”

I was in Rochester visiting family when this story broke, and only saw a small part of the video shown on the local news. I just watched the 10 minute segment posted online. I'm a female, and worked in uniform in male-only prisons in the NY prison system for 25 years. Convicted felons showed more respect than these little scumbags on the bus. From what I understand, she lost her job as a driver two years ago, and I'm assuming it's because she says she still suffers hearing problems despite wearing hearing aids. There are supposed to be a few more videos like this, but I haven't seen them. The one I watched was made on the last day of school, which is why these kids figured they could get away with it. These brats need to be humiliated in public, and made to do some type of community service work all summer long, from sun up to sun down. But then I'm sure their parents would cry foul.
