White House press secretary Jay Carney made an angry phone call to a Fox News executive after the network aired a scathing video review last month of President Barack Obamas first three years in office, the New York Times reported.
According to the Times, Carney told Michael Clemente, Fox News senior vice president for news, that the video had crossed the line even for Fox & Friends, the morning show where it aired. Two unnamed Democrats reportedly told the newspaper about the call, described as a private conversation.
As The Blaze previously reported, the four-minute clip featured a series of then and now comparisons, including the national debt, jobless rate and gas prices. It was met with heavy criticism from both sides of the political spectrum: Media Matters said it crossed a new ethical line while Hot Airs Ed Morrissey questioned whether a news organization [should] produce and publish attack ads like this?
Fox News Executive Vice President for Programming Bill Shine ultimately disavowed the video, which has been pulled from Foxs website.
The package that aired on FOX & Friends was created by an associate producer and was not authorized at the senior executive level of the network, Shine said in a statement. This has been addressed with the shows producers.

Michael Clemente, the Senior VP at FOX who got a whining call from Mr. Claire Shipman, the spokeschild for Obamugabe.
I’d have given cash money if Clemente had asked Carney, “Hey, what do you want to do when you grow up?”
Someone needs to inform the Regime that Joseph Goebbel’s is dead and that their Goebbel’s approach won’t work.
If you're talking about it, it's not a "private conversation" , is it?
Yeah, I think you’re correct. I was thinking of something else.
That’s a nice FCC license you’ve got there...it’d be a shame if something were to happen to it.
You find - and post - great stuff, Nachum... thanks!

Presumably, if the president has done absolutely nothing then Fox should say absolutely nothing.
On the other hand, Obama has done plenty - to destroy America. Thus, the review.
Ooooh, scary. A call from Jay Carney. I’ll bet the Fox dude was quaking in his boots.
Fox news is a news outlet. They are supposed to compile facts and report them. What did they do wrong?
“Blaze” is Glenn Beck
I guess the old saw is true:
If you want to piss off a conservative, just lie to him.
If you want to piss of liberal, just tell the truth.
That O'Bunga was so infuriated by that video that he had his "Carney" call and whine like a beeyotch to FOX News is hysterically funny.
Anything that gets under Barrio Bummer's thin skin is allright by me. He's such a petulant little bitch-boy.
8^D
I’m sure Carney made an equally indignant call to MSNBC when they ran a deceptively edited tape of Romney the other day.
I've thought the same thing.
Truth hurts Jay????You sniveling little twit.
