White House, GOP leaders say they’re willing to negotiate before Holder contempt vote in House

WASHINGTON — Both House Republican officials and Attorney General Eric Holder say they’re willing to negotiate an end to a potential constitutional confrontation in a dispute related to the botched “Fast and Furious” gun-tracking operation.
The conflict heated up Wednesday, when a House committee voted to hold the attorney general in contempt and President Barack Obama invoked executive privilege to avoid turning over some documents related to the operation.

Most of us would like to see Holder gone immediately, but he serves a purpose for the GOP while twisting in the political winds between now and Election Day. I say string him along for now. Don`t want to see him drift into the mist of faded memories...yet.

Time for “negotiations” was passed last Tue evening when withHOLDER wanted Issa to stop the investigation in exchange for a small percentage of the 100,000+ documents that ISSA knows they have and have not forked over.

I`m not quite so sure. I didn`t think the committee vote would ever happen.. yet, here we are. There may be, yes.. for a change, a thumbscrew-tightening operation underway.

So far they have caved every single time on every issue in the end. So why not do it now.
Has anyone heard of any attempt by the republican leadership to stop Obama’s illegal immigration policy. Nope- because the in truth the republican leadership is on the same page.

One should not get too discouraged yet. This may be posturing by the GOP leadership by seeming to be willing to negotiate when in reality the negotiating position is furnishing all the documents or be held in contempt.
Issa has a lot more evidence than he has already shared.
