"It has several immediate effects," syndicated columnist and FOX News contributor Charles Krauthammer said about President Obama using executive privilege to protect Attorney General Eric Holder from the Fast & Furious investigation today.
"The first is, as you mentioned in the grapevine, there's no way that the mainstream media, which have studiously tried to ignore this can do that anymore. In fact, as you pointed out, NBC, which has shown exactly ten seconds of coverage of this on its Evening News in the last year-and-a-half, is now going to have to explain the whole thing since the viewership has no idea what it's about. So, number one, it becomes huge national issue," Krauthammer said on a special edition of the panel on FOX News' "Special Report" broadcast this evening.

Yes they can. They have almost completely eschewed even attempting to appear somewhat unbiased. They don’t care, as long as their reporting supports their agenda and what they’ve deluded themselves into thinking is right.
We have all the right and truth on our side...but we do not have the vehicle to convey that to the public. and bottom line, this is this BIGGEST election of a lifetime and this is ALL about PR right now.

I saw that yesterday when it was broadcast about 6:40pm EST, however he also said this has the potential to hurt Republicans in the election. He said it will rally Republicans to vote but has the potential to turn the undecided (who do not follow closely the details of these disputes) against Republicans. I know that is not as much fun as the post title,
I watched some of the Ed Schultz/ Rachel Maddow alternate universe last evening.
No joke, Maddow’s timeline on this is a conservative blogger in 2010 wrote that people should break democrats’ windows. Then Gabbie Giffords was shot, followed by the contempt vote on Eric Holder.
Also, their shows were devoted to: Why aren’t BUSH administration officials testifying to everything they know about this????
And the reason this is happening is because the MSM has unfettered control of the information the American people get.
We are going after the wrong people. We need to do an SEIU on Chris Matthews lawn. Harrass Farid Zakariah to no end. Put the characters in the media into the public spotlight. Make it personal.
I think it goes something like this.
“Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”
Give the left a taste of their own medicine. That my friends is how you win wars. We are looking at the MSM the wrong way. If we look at it in the following perspective we know what needs to be done;
“Command and control, or C2, in a military organization is the exercise of authority and direction by a properly designated commanding officer over assigned and attached forces in the accomplishment of the mission. The term may also refer to command and control systems within a military system.”
To rephrase:
The MSM, in a political organization is the exercise of authority and direction by the Democrat Party over assigned and attached reporters in the accomplishment of the mission. The term may also refer to Obama’s White House within the political system.
The GOP should be harping on one message every time F&F is mentioned. F&F was a program designed to result in Mexican deaths - so that 'evil' US-sourced guns could be found at the crime scenes and US gun laws could be blamed for the carnage. Holder, Napolitano, Hillary and Obama and a host of their minions cooked this program up knowing that Mexicans would die - in fact, needing Mexicans to die for this scheme to work. The Obama administration was cynically willing to slaughter Hispanics to accomplish their political purposes. The only "botch" in the scheme was F&F guns turning up to get Americans killed too.
You just watch, Kraut. Watch and be amazed.
The Mainstream Media has taken a mission to hide anything that would embarrass the Obama admin since the start. Why would they change now? “If you don’t read about it or see it on tv, it didn’t happen” is their motto.
I wouldn’t be too sure the media won’t ignore it, Charles.
MSM media won’t cover it until the Obama administration could come up with a good defence, then the media will rally around and circle the wagon for them. This have been a pattern with the media.
They won’t ignore it—they will spin it as all Bush’s fault.
This is like the Birther story. The media refused to cover this for years, til Obama admin came up with a defense with forged documents
The MSM puts blacks above the law,it’s a rssult of white guilt.
Also the MSM has never judged rule by law only by feelings.
