LAURENS COUNTY, S.C. --
Laurens County deputies say a woman who admitted to shooting her ex-husband will not be charged in the shooting because they believe she acted in self defense.
According to the incident report, deputies were called out to a home on Vern Cora Road in Laurens Monday morning.
Tammy Duvall told deputies she had a friend over at her house and was about to go outside when she heard a car door shut.
Duvall told deputies she grabbed a gun and shot several times when she noticed her ex-husband, Roderick Woodruff, charging towards her.
Deputies later found Woodruff injured at his home and took him to the hospital.
Roderick Woodruff will be charged with criminal domestic violence 1st offense.
Woodruff was charged in April with CDV 1st offense and kidnapping with the same woman.
Woodruff has not been convicted in the April case which is why the new charges are 1st offense as well.
Deputies say after changing her story several times on where she got the gun, Duvall will be charged with unlawful possession of a weapon.
If anyone has access to a more complete story, please let us know.
If so, the NAACP needs to be notified immediately!/S
This ain’t over until at least one of them is dead.
I’m rooting for him to be the dead one with no charges filed.
Injured? I guess they mean he had a bullet hole.

Don't you just love it when the high school interns write the stories?
Longshot. First, the ex-husband was already charged with kidnapping, (KIDNAPPING!), yet not convicted and let loose to attack again. Second, the woman is being charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, so is probably disarmed.
Sadly, I predict her death at his hands after his catch and release, or her charged for some gun related crime at a minimum if she shoots him again.
The serial number was filed off, and she kept changing her story about where she got it. http://www.foxcarolina.com/story/18814490/deputies-woman-shoots-ex-boyfriend-in-self-defense
There’s a video at this link, and a photo of the victim. She was previously held captive by him for two days while he beat her repeatedly.
