BRUNSWICK, Ohio (AP) — Mitt Romney is refusing to say that he would overturn President Barack Obama's new policy allowing some young illegal immigrants to stay in the United States.
The Republican presidential candidate tells CBS” ”Face the Nation” that if he’s president, Obama’s executive order “would be overtaken by events … by virtue of my putting in place a long-term solution.”
Romney was asked three times in the interview if he would overturn Obama’s order, but he didn’t directly answer the question. Instead, he said would work to pass a law to help those young people who were “brought in by their parents through no fault of their own.” Romney said he doesn’t know why Obama “feels stop-gap measures are the right way to go.”
The candidate’s comments represent a further softening of his rhetoric on immigration since the GOP primary campaign ended.

I don't get that, at all. We have to assume that Obama knows Romney is just a white version of himself, a full white version.
The base abandons Romney in droves beginning today and the independent and undecided voters just say "why should I vote for Romney, he's just a pasty white version of the dude we already have in there"
Friday's imperial edict caught Romney with his pants down - that was easy! The race is now pretty much a tossup and Team Zero, if they have any sense at all, will issue more imperial edicts and further expose the liberal Romney and the quisling, do-nothing, ball-less Congress.
Obama plays this right and Romney loses in November just as sure and tomorrow's Monday.
I had also wondered, since we do that chain immigration thing, that if the children get a green card for free, would the parents then be able to apply as relatives of the “legal” family member?
Why would he do that? He's never said one way or another what he thinks of Holder. It's just as possible that Romney does what Obama will do in a second term . .
Nominate Holder to the USSC. That would be "reaching across the aisle" . . .
It's very important to notice that Romney nor Rubio have said they fundamentally disagree with granting amnesty to millions of illegals here breaking the law in their statements last week, regardless of how it's done. They're playing both sides of the fence right now and it's obvious they plan to move further to the looney Left on this issue. We all know Mitt is going to have to address his position on this again regardless. Him not addressing this issue since the primaries shows that he has CHANGED his position.
Look at the terminology Romney used in his statement. Open your eyes people, he's shape-shifting right in front of you.
Which of any of the Republican candidates made a commitment to a return to DADT? Sorry, but that genie is out of the bottle and no Republican who seriously wants to win an election is going to expend the overwhelming amount of political capital trying to put it back in.
Wanna see Romney's polling plummet? Let's have him start talking about gays in the military. The press would have a field day with this.

I was going to vote for Romney in November but certainly not after Friday's debacle. It is easier to constrain Obama during a second term with majorities in Congress and the Judicial Branch - it wont be easy, mind you but that's the way it is.

If this EO violates the presidential oath of office, why is Romney saying he won’t overturn it?
We are maybe replacing a revolutionary communist with a Fabian socialist, both have exactly the same goal the destruction of this nation and enslavement of our citizens. Why would anyone think the Fabian, Romney, would halt or slow down the revolutionaries, Obama’s, plans.
