Competition doesn’t lead to fewer jobs, it leads to more jobs.

Getting the best people in the best places, means that you can produce more for less.

Say if I’m paying one guy 10 an hour to sort mail, and another guy 10 an hour to sort the mail. Guy 1 sorts mail twice as fast.

Now if I fire the other guy, and get Guy 1 to sort all the mail, what happens then?

1, Guy number 1 gets more hours in and makes more money.

2, You’ve just halved your labor costs associated with sorting mail. This means you can afford to charge less for your services.

3, all the people who use and pay for your service, now have to pay less to get it.

So what happens to all that extra money that suddenly is there because of competition? See, that’s the beauty of it.

Competition is what leads to job growth, productivity and in the long run, improves the standard of living for Americans. Look at all the ways that America stifles competition. I’m a teacher. I can’t teach in a public school, unless I have state certification. Irrespective of my qualifications or years of experience. That means time and money.

Then, if I do get a job, I am compensated on one thing, and on one thing only - tenure. How is this a motivation to improve?

Imagine you switched up the system so that kids could choose their teacher. Every teacher who had a student choose to sit in their class would get a bounty over and above their base salary.

What do you think that would do for teaching? Would we not expect to see more and better teachers come out when you start compensating them for doing a better job?

Competition doesn’t decrease opportunities. Job killing legislation designed to crush compeition kills opportunities. Why do you think businesses are so afraid to hire? Because of Obamacare. Companies do not want to be on the hook. They do not want to hire, beucase of all the taxes and obligations that the Federal government loads up on them makes it cheaper not to. Get rid of that red tape, get someone in the WH who understands economics, and the jobs will come back.

Perhaps the price of Arugula has stayed the same, I wouldn’t know. You could ask Michelle, I’m sure she does.

How long will it take before the king decrees by special order that those ILLEGALS who have work permits but have no work start to receive unemployment benefits?

Why not? He’s been crapping all over America since the day he took office. It started with the return of the bust of Winston Churchill.

I hate to say this but I never thought in my lifetime that I would have a President worse than Carter. Oh My! Obama is 10 times worse than Carter. Everytime he opens his mouth out comes some insane comments, new programs (regardless of our U.S. Constitution) & endless speeches. We need better & he needs to leave like yesterday. Obama-Impeachment.

As I have told you privately, I love your attitude. If we had 200 million of you in this country we’d be a hell of a lot better off.

I also can’t argue with a single thing you said. Just hate to see a hard-working American placed even further behind the eight ball by a clown like 0bama.

My best to you.

"He's killing America to keep his a$$ in the White House."

I would expect nothing less from Pol Pot Junior.

Anybody that wonders how the Soviet Union was formed need look no further than the actions of the Obama administration. He's a flippin' communist. He's trying to gain the illegal vote because he won't be able to win an election if only legal votes are counted.

I noticed that the media is now using a phrase designed to be the verbal equivalent of a plush toy: “those who came here as kids’. Makes you feel all warm inside.

How true!

I was at our local HEB in Cedar Park, TX today. A guy driving a boom couldn’t speak English I guess as he was telling the other workers in Spanish what he wanted done!!! Soo...ALL the workers are Spanish speakers it appears. Same with the highway stimulus dollars. Some evidently RICH Americans are bidding jobs and having their Mexican foreman’s hire the workers who cannot speak English and then if something happens run and hide.

Whoever has illegal workers in their home is to blame for this. When I think of illegals having legal status as well as millions who are given citizenship annually our pot has melted in a bad way. We are all to blame.

To an extent, we ARE all to blame. We should have replaced the leaders who are selling us out long ago.

Right now it has reached the place where we need a complete freeze on all immigration for twenty to thirty years.

We should as a part of this, eject every single illegal alien. Make them persona non gratis, and let them deport themselves.

“persona non gratis”

grata. Gratis is free. ;) Persona non gratis would come out as something like, “Person not for sale”.

I hate it when you make sense like this. ;^)

At any rate, I think you’re on the right track, because you’ve obviously got a point. Gratis is not the right word.

Persona non gratis, would actually be, “person not free”. That could actually mean they want to be bought, or the person needs to be bought.

I don’t know the meaning of grata. You may be right on target with that. Oops, on my part.

Thanks for the mention.

You’re right. He sealed his fate but not in the way you mean. He just bought himself even more of the Hispanic and hand wringing independent vote. The “right” seems to be too stupid to be able to mount a coherent defense or offense against the blunderer in chief.
