~Favorite City Songs~
Kings of Leon - Manhattan live
Well I could dance all night And some of the day That's how I play That's how I play
I say who are you No matter who you are So you dance all night And you dance all day
I say I say
Gonna build a fire Gonna smoke it up Gonna sip this wine And pass the cup
These avenues and these reseviors We gonna show this town How to kiss these stars
I say I say
You've come to kill Gonna spend it high Your parents grieve I know they are right
And then talking to you Well they calm you down So it's all for you who let you down
I say I say I say I say
Just wanna take you hand I'm gonna drive you home Just gonna keep on Keep on, keep on And you gonna have a rest

George Strait - Amarillo By Morning
"Amarillo By Morning" Amarillo by morning, up from San Antone. Everything that I've got is just what I've got on. When that sun is high in that Texas sky I'll be bucking it to county fair. Amarillo by morning, Amarillo I'll be there. They took my saddle in Houston, broke my leg in Santa Fe. Lost my wife and a girlfriend somewhere along the way. Well I'll be looking for eight when they pull that gate, And I'm hoping that judge ain't blind. Amarillo by morning, Amarillo's on my mind. Amarillo by morning, up from San Antone. Everything that I've got is just what I've got on. I ain't got a dime, but what I got is mine. I ain't rich, but Lord I'm free. Amarillo by morning, Amarillo's where I'll be. Amarillo by morning, Amarillo's where I'll be.

Hiya, Teenie!
I’m doing well, but have had my nose to the grindstone! It’s been hectic at the office, and I’m in the thick of my fund-raising cycle. It takes a lot of work to put on our annual banquet. Well, maybe not so much anymore - this is the 17th year I’ve done this.

Keith Whitley....so young when he checked out.
Thanks for the memory.

This is about a place called the Windy City, which I assume is Hurricane, Utah, or maybe Galesburg, Ill.

They are. Piper is coming down next month for a week; she likes to just chill with us. Nana will probably try to take her out shopping for clothes for the next school year - Piper may or may not go for that. She hates to shop!
She is taking swim lessons this month, so we’re looking forward to taking her to the city pool. That should be fun!
Piper told her Daddy that she was very sad last week. School was out; but she didn’t want to stop going! She’s excited about going into the third grade in two months.

I don't blame her for hating to shop...lol.
Swim lessons at a young age are the way to go. Mine both had them and became very good swimmers.
I love it when they are so enthusiastic about school. My youngest granddaughter (who is now 21 and in college) needed to be challenged constantly in school. Everything came so easy to her.
