More than a third of 16 to 23-year-olds (36%) do not know bacon comes from pigs and four in 10 (40%) failed to link milk with an image of a dairy cow, with 7% linking it to wheat, the poll of 2,000 people for charity Leaf (Linking Environment and Farming) found. Some 41% correctly linked butter to a dairy cow, with 8% linking it to beef cattle, while 67% were able to link eggs to an image of a hen but 11% thought they came from wheat or maize.

“water just comes out of the faucet. “
Ah! Shades of a favorite Blues lyric!
“Water comes outa da faucet.
Faucet comes outa da wall.
I come out when I hear my name.
So baby, give me a call!”

I’ll bet a good many of them link all foods to their beloved Obama and his food stamps.

With all the odd alternates, it's almost excusable for kids not to keep track. Almost.

The question of whether a chicken comes from an egg or an egg from a chicken has had philosophers scratching their heads for millenia! The philosophers have proven that they can't reason their way out of a wet paper bag: obviously, it's the rooster that came first.
Cheers!

Pretty soon, if you're allowed to have milk, eggs and bacon, it will be through the largesse of Michelle Obama.
Note that that is "largesse" and not "large ass."

Should I not feel bad about eating Canadian bacon, then? I mean, you don’t make it from real Canadians?

Dont underestimate these modern kids. The question of whether a chicken comes from an egg or an egg from a chicken has had philosophers scratching their heads for millenia! You think that is a tough one?
Last week at the deli counter, the deli guy asked me, "which came first, the chicken salad or the egg salad?".

what do you do when you shoot a Deer or Moose? The old Ed Zern column in the back of Outdoor Life or Sports Afield when I was a kid said instead of packing your moose out for miles and miles, taking many trips, it is easier to build a cabin and live there until you get it eaten.

“I thought bacon came from heaven."
It did.
So, thank you socialism and your decrepit education system that is causing disenfranchisement from reality.
