Almost alone among the mainstream journalists, CBS News reporter Sharyl Attkisson has been reporting on the Fast & Furious scandal. For that she should be commended. However she wasn't the first to report on it. In fact much of her information was provided to her by David Codrea (photo), the Gun Rights Examiner at Examiner.com and citizen journalist Mike Vanderboegh of the Sipsey Street Irregulars blog. That is why it was so grating when Attkisson wrote this jarring sentence in a report about the House Oversight Committee scheduling a contempt vote against Attorney General Eric Holder:
The story was exposed nationally for the first time by CBS News in February 2011.

Hey, they are only a year late. That’s pretty good for the Lamestream media these days.
CBS is indeed Catagorically B.S.
Them mean first among state-controlled media.
CBS (heavy on the BS) reported this in Feb 2011? I guess they got there story coordinated with the Shite House and are ready to blame an underling of Holder and Company for the whole mess.

“Vanderboegh and Codrea were the FIRST to break this story, NOT CBS News.”
Yes, but what they really mean is CBS is the first of the ‘legit’ news outfits to report on F&F.
In their minds, if you’re not part of the kneepad media, you not the real deal.
Shite House? Ack! It was a misspelling but it kinda looks cool, especially with a double post.

Technically, CBS is right.
They reported a story of an American trying to smuggle an “assault rifle” across the border into Mexico. It was “hidden” in plain sight under the hood of a pickup truck. CBS “tracked” the assault rifle to a evil gunstore in Arizona where the gun was purchased. Then they went on to assume that this kind of gun smuggling was going on all along the border.
They are right that they reported on f&f first, but they were part of the coordinated effort to destroy the 2nd ammendment.
It was posted here on FR complete with pictures.
Link?
Not much glory in being first with the story if you then let it die
just because the path to the end might take you where you
don’t want to go.

Don’t have a link, but it is probably in the archives.
Might take a while to find.
It was about 3 years ago.
History (sort of) repeating itself:
The Monica (Lewinsky) Mess was reported by Drudge and furiously debated here at FR in excruciating detail for almost 10 MONTHS before even a single Legacy Media presstitute breathed a word about it.
It was like there were two realities, side by side, one knowing NOTHING about the other. We had scores of consummate experts here, correcting one another about the tiniest discrepancies. Meanwhile if you mentioned the tiniest thing about it in “real life” then people looked at u as if u were an alien.
Clinton was finally impeached for it, and now it’s common sense.
I’m seeing the same thing here —if we didn’t have those 2 guys and the internet then we wouldn’t know that the Obama Aministration killed US cops and hundreds of innocent poor Mexicans —deliberately.
—>Those 2 gun writers and O’Keefe are the best 3 reporters in the USA today.<—
Boy, you can say that again again.
Shite House.
Shite House.
What’s that rule?
If your enemy is shooting himself in the foot, just stay out of the way (or at least get him some more ammo).
