If the left is successful in getting everyone on the class warfare bandwagon maybe no one will notice we still spend 4 billion per day more than we take in under the current regime. That is the playbook you can be sure.
We now have a Feral Government. Feral is the best definition of the misuse of Federal powers by The Won.
The media has been didtorting this issue from the beginning. Gov Walker did not do a single thing to unions or union members in the private sector. This entire thing has been depicted as anti union when, in fact, it is only anti public sector unions.
When will these blockheads get it that there are not enough "rich" to pay for all the goodies? The only way to pay for it is to massively raise taxes across the board and lower the standard of living of the "middle class".
Pretty good description. When an entire govt. is sequestered and rendered irrelevant to a single members lust to get reelected one wonders where the country went soooo wrong.(And whether or not it can right itself)
The word of the campaign will be Austerity. Can anybody look at our bloated gummit and think there is any austerity going on there?
Come to any american family and they will see austerity.
I always snicker each summer when the French Open pre-empts the French-speaking David Gregory’s Meet the Press.
Not only that but she used the phrase, “at the end of the day” not once but twice.
I thought that was banned from public discourse. :)
On that note, and as an insight....talking about teachers.
Anybody went to school had teachers. Anybody has kids knows teachers. In my case, teacher once lived next door to me, nice lady.
So I tell my daughter who tells me how much granddaughter adores her teacher, that the teacher is well paid for her job and don’t forget she only works tops, ten months year.
Daughter says, “She’s worth every penny of it, Mom. Kaitlyn loves her teacher and because she does so well in school.”
THIS is part of the problem. Teachers are, for the most part and especially in the case of younger children, revered and respected by their students. The silly public doesn’t want to upset their children by seeming to be against teachers, goodness, perish the thought.
Also police, firefighters. They get these ingrained members of the local community and you look tiny when you complain about pensions of $100,000 K a year. It’s why the feds want to get all involved hiring these people. It’s how they fool us.
Good people but tools to help bankrupt this country, how sad.
Rush’s appellation of Kardashian for the Obamas is just so perfect.
Gotta love how his mind works.
I watched the Daniels interview again and I may have been too hard on him because of his unfortunate attire and his very low-key delivery.
He did have all the facts and right on his side. Wallace kept trying to bully him with some statistic about Indiana ranking 47th in something but Daniels didn’t bite on that. He just said he didn’t know anything about it.
Now that people are in more dire straits themselves, they are finally paying attention to things they formerly didn’t bother with.
We are realizing that there is no government money. None. All government money comes from us. We are paying for all federal employees and on the state level, as Mitch pointed out, it was the pages and pages of regulations negotiated by the unions that kept the state government from doing things it needed to do.
They also tried to equate Daniels signing the right-to-work law with public unions.
This action, as he pointed out, was necessary to attract business to his state. Business is leery of going to a state without right-to-work laws.
That simply means that workers have a choice about joining a union or not when going to work in a unionized facility.
Prior to that law, they had to join the union. Hard to justify that as being fair.
Dan Blathering on Chris Matthews.
HEY DAN!
Aren’t you that disgraces former “news reader” that got fired from CBS?
Did you ever do any hard time for forging a government document?
Doesn’t The Spitter realize he gets negative credibility from your presence?
Yes, Republicans(Conservatives) need to respond to “the rich...the wealthy” with; It is none of your business how much money anyone else makes. And follow up with; How is that any of your business?
They're probably pretty nice babysitters, but how much is a Japanese teacher worth? Would mom be willing to put her child up against a Japanese student of the same age?
The word "educator" is the Big Lie.
omigosh, bray. That article was a must read. The EPA and its minions are a prime example of a government agency. They plough headlong into a situation they really know nothing about and are way too impressed by clueless bleeding hearts.
Everything they have done has been a disaster for the thing they pretend they are protecting: the environment.
The good news is that nature and forests are growth industries and that, if given a chance, they will come back in a very few years.
I hope Mitt Romney means it about disbanding this agency and we can have some common sense about the environment for a rare change.
Yes, been thinking of a condensed response to Democrat supporters who don’t know the value of the the ‘What and Why’ of the US Constitution; “I know what is in the Constitution and I know why it was written. I support the US Constitution”.
Excellent pun. The Feral government. Like it.
They stopped paying union dues.
