CHICAGO -- This Friday, June 8, at noon local time across the country, tens of thousands of Americans, in over 150 cities coast to coast, took to the streets in public protest against the HHS Mandate during the second nationwide Stand Up for Religious Freedom Rally.
This time the flagship rally held at Chicagos Federal Plaza took an interesting twistsuddenly transforming from a formal political rally to a Swing Dance festival!
Media pundit and blogger, Jill Stanek, danced unannounced on stage to a Jazz Band at the end of her speech. At the same time hundreds of youth converged on already crowded plaza wearing 1930s style outfits, carrying huge clusters of yellow balloons and shooting yellow confetti into the crowd as cheers erupted.
The exuberant and festive Swing Dance theme was an attempt to swing public opinion announced organizers, in less than a year we wont have this kind of freedom.

And now the fun begins as Jill ends her speech with. . . . a swing dance?
Who can resist?

Wow that’s great. Looks like a celebration of life.
I wonder if this got any media coverage.
I bet it got very little. If ten liberals, however, showed up to cry over whales, “punishing” women with babies, or whatever else, it would be THE story.
Thanks to Canada Free Press and your post for supplying the truth to the “land of the free, home of the brave.”
Any videos?
I LOVE Swing Dancing!! Wish I had been there!
Kinda’ reminds you of that scene in “Ferris Beuller’s Day Off”...
Wow, what a very good idea.
My husband and I attended ; it was very well organized.. the dancing was fun and some teenage girls were also dancing one behind the other through the crowd and giving everyone a “high-five.” It was really sweet and positive. Across the street stood the pro-choice people and they could not have looked more bitter, drained, and very very old even though most were young people.
We pro-lifers may have found the magic bullet. Music. Let us provide live music at every gathering of Tea Parties, Life events, all conservative events. who can resist music? It would show the world that we are happy/joyful life lovers and not haters. It would be hard to paint us that way if we dance. Ha, I love it.
Ref: the yellow balloons and shirts...the colors of the flag of the Catholic Church. The battle continues!!!HoooHaH!

WVN, I think you’ve hit on a winner! We should stay upbeat and cheerful in the face of our dreary, negative opposition!
Yes, I agree WVN and Humidston.. keep it upbeat and cheerful.. :)
Fun for a lib usually involves some form of perversion and / or medication. That and the smug sort of humor that takes the form of put-downs against anyone that does not agree with their opinions 100%. Everytime I see a protest or counter protest by liberals you really do not need the signs to tell you which side of the fence they are living on; just look at the angry expressions and soul-less eyes with no hint of joy in them...
I’m paraphrasing someone, but hysteria is the liberals’ default setting. If they are not hyperventilating over something they are not happy.
I wish we could take back the majority of the media. Why can’t we take over the news outlets? Why does the left have so much power in those areas?
I think leftists dominate those fields because they are easy majors in college and dwell on feelings and desires to “change the world”. They are divorced from reality. They are lands of make believe.
Well, obviously it didn't get any coverage from ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, the NY Times, the Wash Post or any of the other dying Democrat newsrooms, but the rising, new media certainly covered it. It was covered by Canada Free Press and right here at Free Republic, for example.
BUMP!
