Nancy Reagan placed a bouquet of white roses on the gravesite of her late husband Ronald Reagan Tuesday to mark the eighth anniversary of the passing of one of Americas most beloved presidents.
Appearing frail in a red coat, the former first lady then sat by the 40th presidents gravesite at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, Calif.
Now 90, Nancy Reagan recently suffered broken ribs in a fall, and was reported to be recovering slowly.
The widow of President Reagan also made news recently by announcing her endorsement of GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney.
Having served lemonade and cookies to Mitt Romney and his wife, Ann, at her Los Angeles home, she said that she is firmly behind the former Massachusetts governor.

Boy, that really sums it up.
Yes.. As I've thought more about it, that is probably the most insightful thought I've had all year. Didn't you? Didn't we ALL realize back in the 80's what a truly GREAT President Ronald Reagan was? I know I did.
I was just a college kid in 1980. We all were SO EXCITED to have this new leader, so full of optimism. The economy was terrible then, in Texas... but, I didn't care. I had the confidence needed to get married, buy a house, start a family.. When I lost my job, I found a new one... twice. Once, halfway across the country.
What I TRULY failed to appreciate was, just how long it would be before we got another leader like Reagan. We still haven't, and I don't see one on the horizon. Oh, there are some who have parts of Reagan. I think W is an honest, decent man... but he lacked RR's political and communication skills.
Maybe.. some of the young bucks on the rise have the gumption. I sure hope so...because the job before them is just a tough as what Reagan faced.... maybe, tougher.
In my house, my wife shares Ronnie’s birthday and my youngest daughter, who just celebrated her tenth birthday yesterday, was born on the same month and day of his death.
(Let the record show, I also lobbied - unsuccessfully - to name her Reagan. My wife now, ten years later, thinks that would indeed have been a great name for her)
As do I! Lord, how far have we fallen? The current occupant isn't worthy to shine his shoes.
~Ronald Reagan
I was in a grocery store parking lot, heard it on the radio.
I was at Bearskin Neck, Rockport, MA with my girlfriend. My Mom called me on my cell and I just broke down.
We left immediately and she drove home - I was a puddle.
We, too, had the wonderful privilege of visiting the Reagan library last summer, almost exactly one year ago...I am SO glad we went there...so very moving, and it was truly the highlight of our trip to California. I teared up so many times while on the tour...miss him so much!!
