Gov. Rick Perry is once again slamming out-of-state interest groups backing former solicitor general Ted Cruz in his runoff with Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst this time tweaking Sarah Palin, U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint and Rick Santorum by suggesting their states could learn a lot from Texas, but Texas doesnt need their advice on choosing its next U.S. senator.
Perry, standing staunchly behind Dewhurst, brushed off the question about whether his own tea party credibility may be damaged by his opposition to Cruz, who has been endorsed by national conservative and tea party groups and figures (including Palin, DeMint and Santorum) in the runoff for the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate.

Without naming Palin, DeMint or Santorum, Perry called them to mind by naming their states: I appreciate everybody paying attention to Texas as well they should, they could learn some things on how to run South Carolina and Pennsylvania and Alaska.
Come to Texas and learn how to do it right, but dont come down here and tell us who needs to be our next United States senator, thank you very much. Well decide that without your outside, Washington, D.C.-oriented help, Perry said.

Tampa is a pipe dream now.
We’ve got to defeat the Socialist element co-opting the GOP first. Replacing the rodent regime in Washington with a RINO one with the same agenda won’t resolve anything. That so many have this delusional notion that there is a difference is appalling.
You dont get it.
it’s distasteful but ABO we have left.
Perry was/is 1000% better an Mitt or Obama
Perry, a decent man has had every liberal notion ascribed to him via the Fed and freepers
Now we got Mitt
Congratulations
I do get it. ABO is not a solution, it’s an excuse, a mindless, intellectually vacant mantra and a complete cop-out. Replacing a disaster of the Democrats with a disaster who lies about being a Republican is not a solution.
I don’t agree about Perry. He may not be as disastrously bad as Willard (few are), but he is still a RINO phony, illegal-panderer, crony capitalist and opportunistic career politician.
I disagree with the Perry hate.
He has served well.
It’s called criticism. You & I didn’t see eye to eye on him and we never will.
It’s Perry’s Wikipedia entry, and ?
He has served well..
Your state is on the fast track of becoming a minority run state. It’s only a matter of time. Hope u enjoy being the “minority” in the near future. Because it’s coming.
“The fact that the Houston Chronicle and the Austin-American Statesman are salivating over the possibility that Lt. Gov. Dewhurst might be upset by Cruz should give you a clue.”
“Uh, no. The fact that the Houston Chronicle endorsed Dewhurst should give you a clue.”
In politics, there is a difference between what you see on the surface and what is really going on.
Nah. I think maybe Sarah wants to go higher than governor. And it’s pretty clear at this point that that’s not in Rick’s skill set.
I suspect your boy could play “Are You Smarter Than Trig Palin?” and lose.
Just like one of the villains on Scooby Doo.
Wow. You’ve lived a very sheltered life. And you have a very sensitive tummy.
Mmyeah. I watched those too. When I was a kid. And I thought they were kind of lame even then. But you, comparing Palin to a bitter old guy with a ghoul mask? I love irony.
Am 60 right now and own hundreds of acres on several different pieces of property here is this state, so I pay plenty of taxes to the State of Texas. Born here and grew up in Austin.
My great-great grandfather George Durham was Mayor of Austin, Texas in 1852. He is buried in the the old Oakwood Cemetery near downtown Austin, my dad and the former french Cemetery.
Durham’s wife was the daughter of Gideon Lincecum, the famous Texas naturalist who moved to Texas in 1848.
You inferring I don’t have an opinion on what type of Texan Perry is?
Gee, Gunner, it must be hard maintaining your level of nasty ignorance. The DNC operatives were much more malevolent than children and funded by a multi-billion dollar power bosses. CONSERVATIVE Alaskans understood why Sarah stepped aside for the sake of the state. It’s sad to see you so ignorant of the reasons and the Alaskan people.
