SANFORD, Fla. - Judge Ken Lester said Friday George Zimmerman has to return to for a hearing within 48 hours.

Lester said that Zimmerman withheld information about how much money he had when he was granted bond.

Zimmerman had more than $200,000 in a PayPal account that had been donated to him on a website, therealgeorgezimmerman.com

The state had a recording of Zimmerman and his wife before the bond hearing in which they acknowledged the money in the account.

BO,

I've often wondered if Zimmerman voted for Obama.

Has this been confirmed by any news source?

Or is it just reasonable speculation since he is a registered Democrat?

Thanks.

Obama’s economy is failing after an $800 billion money grab.

It’s time for zimmerman all weekend, can’t be Obama’s poor economy, all weekend.......

Would you report $200,000 in donations on your tax return? How about to the judge if your freedom was at stake?

GZ did a stupid, stupid thing. Now it looks like he’s going to pay for it.

******

The judge should have ignored Zimmerman’s trivial omission, and he would have done so if Zimmerman had been a black thug like Martin. The funds were not for his personal use; they were intended for his lawyer, whoever he finally turned-out to be. Zimmerman is not a flight risk, so he should stay out of jail.

Unless he is put in solitary confinement there is a very high probability that he will be murdered in prison.

Upon what do you base this?

In which case hizzoner should be rung up on charges as an Accessory to Murder, because he "knew, or should have known" that such would be the outcome of his ruling.

How could he have possibly known how much was in the account? He was in jail. No internet there..

The consensus from the articles I've read is that Zimmerman and his wife talked in code while he was in jail, and they both knew about it. From this URL:

State prosecutors said on Friday Zimmerman's wife, Shelley, knew about the PayPal money from his website and lied at the bond hearing when she said she didn't know of it.

Actually, it sounds like Zimmerman misled the court about his financial status. My guess is that it was by accident - that he didn’t know exactly what the money collected for his defense could be used for.

Getting a second passport, however, is a reasonable sign someone is considering fleeing, and would be important information for the judge to consider.

OTOH, if the tracking devices are good - and I don’t have any idea how reliable they are - then I’m not sure it matters. The point is to make sure he shows up for his trial, not to punish him in advance of his trial.

I don’t think anything was done wrong. There may have been an account for donations to zimmerman on paypal, But that doesn’t make the money his because he had to get legal and accounting advice on that money. There was no intent here to hide this money. Zimmerman just didn’t know exactly *what* he could use it for until he got his legal and accounting advice. Judges don’t give legal and accounting advice to defendants.

1. Not disclosing several hundred thousand dollars at a bond hearing after speaking about it, in code, during a tapped jail phone call with your wife.
2a. Having two passports.
2b. Not turning them both in.

The judge seemed to be on Zimmerman's side until all of this, rejecting Corey's BS arguments at the first bond hearing. Now Zimmerman has made his character a question in the trial. And as I said before, I think it's undeniable that Zimmerman acted in self-defense.

The corrupt unJustice system has found a way to avoid the embarrassment of being summarily dismissed when they try to lynch George for their race serving racist reasons ... they simply slam him into jail where someone they hire murders him. It is time for these bastards to go ... straight to the hell they deserve.

No, the judge is aiding and abetting the planned murder of George Zimmerman so the criminal enterprise racist don’t lose their ‘face’ when he would be exhonorated. Look for Eric ‘the black crimeboss messiah’ Holder to be behind this move somehow. I’m sure he has someone lined up to do the wet work once they wisk George away.

Well let's face it. If he had the passport and if he had the Paypal money available to him for the month of May, and didn't run, then he must not be much of a flight risk.

Anyway why run now when the prosecution and Trayvonistas are the ones running scared. They're the ones who want him to go away before all the rest of their so-called evidence collapses.

Only thing is, if these bastards do manage to do a Jim McDoubal or Slobodan Milosevic type job in this case, there’s no hiding it and no spinning it. The GOP wouldn’t need any other issue this November.

Would you please explain why having a second passport matters? Perhaps, he lost the first one?

Getting a second passport, however, is a reasonable sign someone is considering fleeing, and would be important information for the judge to consider.

Thanks for explaining!
