Rush Limbaugh: "I don't care if Romney's "not conservative enough."
RushLimbaugh.com ^ | May 30, 2012 | Rush Limbaugh

He didn't have to say it but he did. Rolled over for the establishment.:

"So Romney has responded (paraphrased), "Oh, yeah? Well, I've got an 80% success rate, Mr. President. The companies that Bain Capital -- using its own money, by the way -- went in and rescued had an 80% success rate. What's your success rate, Mr. President? Zero! Every company you've attempted to save or industry you've tried to give a boost to -- with taxpayer dollars, not even your own -- are bankrupt." And to personify this, to illustrate it, Romney goes to Solyndra today.

Bravo! Well done! I like this.

I don't care if Romney's "not conservative enough." I know some people, like Joe Scarborough yesterday on his show, said (paraphrased), "People don't know about Solyndra! This is crazy. Romney's wasting his time talking about Solyndra. The American people never heard of it and the American people don't care about Solyndra." He said you and I care about it, but nobody else knows about it. I'm sure in certain circles, inside the Beltway, it is considered an inside baseball story that the average American doesn't know about and doesn't care about.

But, see, that's what a campaign is for."

I get what some of the people on FR are trying to say in the larger context. But they dont have to say that Romney is no different than Obama. Uncalled for.

Bingo. I was anti Romney all durIng the primaries. But now he is not Obama and that is enough. In fact I think I might vote for him next week.

For the second time too. I voted for Romney over
McCain in June 08. Weird. Never would have thunk it two months ago. But this vote does not matter.

Romney’s a turnaround guy. Bain Capital, the Winter Olympics. I wasn’t that impressed by that before, but now I’m thinking that that turnaround mentality might just make him the perfect man for the job of turning around the biggest company of all.

I understand you’re bitter, and I wasn’t real happy about it either, but he’s got the skills to possibly do a real good job, better managerially than all the rest.

Idealogically he can be opposed, as W was, by We the People; but I don’t think he’s going to be dealing with a congress that is in much of mood for liberal antics. He’ll do all right.

We are on a similar tack, here. As I posted in its own thread:

Romney & American Conservatism, that discusses the possibility of a grass roots campaign to play to Romney's skills in a campaign to push him further to the Right. (Of course, it has drawn some insults from the Romney haters, but that was to be expected.)

Frankly, we have no choice but to take our best hold on the hand we are being played.

Cheers

Like what? Did people forget he was Governor of Massachusetts?

I don't think they paid much attention to Romney in the last cycle. The focus was then on McCain being a fraud since he was the frontrunner.

Note that I was NOT a Romney supporter in 2008. I'm just saying that I can understand why some people supported him back then but oppose him now.

There has been more publicity to Romney's negative actions during this election cycle. The Tea Party too took off in 2009/2010. In 2008, most people got information only from people like Sean Hannity and went along with them. Now people have realized that they can fight back.

Simply because Romney got away in 2008 does not mean that those who let him get away then are obligated to let him get away now.

I guess it just makes them the outliers. God knows there are outliers on the left. Unfortunately, the ass hat PBO IS a left side outlier.

Ah the truth comes out!

Rush DID NOT SAY that. Here's what he said:
"...the media and the Democrats did what they always do. They started demanding of Romney that he denounce Trump, then they threw my name in there for good measure, and that's always the way it is. It's always the way it is. Republicans are always told they have to repudiate this person, they have to apologize for that person. And Romney didn't do it.

And this needs to be pointed out and noted. I know that a lot of people are still unhappy with Romney. Establishment candidate, moderate, not really conservative. Understand all that. But I'm telling you, this is not the McCain campaign. McCain, had the left demanded that he distance himself from Trump, not only would have distanced himself, he woulda gone public and kicked Trump out of his campaign. And Romney did not do that."
You need to correct your post.

the group isn’t that large as they are vocal. It is as if they took the brown acid and then decided to bathe in bath salts.

I think if you did a poll in Pennsylvania Virgil Goode would do pretty well.

You're delusional!

I see you have learned alinsky well...

when did I say I was staying home? I have voted in every election, even local ones, even while I was deployed, since 1976, and that includes local school boards and stuff like that there...

I will not stay home...

I will not vote for a socialist..

to tell me I support socialism via taxes is the single most infantile argument I have read on a romney thread to date..

My taxes are not controlled by me, they are controlled by those that are elected to represent us. They have done a shitty job. Yet, these same bastards keep getting re-elected. They are re-elected by mind numbed robots such as yourself that firmly believe the line of crap coming from the politicians mouths. They got you hook line and sinker pal.

Time to grow up. Time to open your eyes to the manipulation that has been going on for decades. Time to break free from the yoke the republican party has placed upon you, your values, and your self respect.

I will not vote for a party, I vote for people. I vote for those that most closely represent my views.

romney ain’t it....

soooo... are you a republican? are you a conservative? are you a constitutionalist?

my guess is you are a republican.

I care. I care a lot that Romney is a moderate who has flip-flopped on many vital issues. I do not trust him and do not know where his heart really stands. That said i’ll vote for him in the fall because a flip-flopping Massachusetts moderate is better than the worst and most dangerous president in the history of our country. Some bad presidents are merely bad presidents. Obama is a vital threat to who we are as a nation.

Anybody but Obama!! Get that jug eared job killing moron out of office. Once Mitt gets in we will b!tch and grouse about him but we will be at least 7x better off than with the execrable Kenyan.

Mitt will be subject to our influence while the abominable Kenyan never has been or will be

"Are you really that gullible?"

I have a good friend who knows Dr. Janda through professional circles and he says that every word in the video is accurate.

No, I mean are you that gullible to believe Willard is telling the truth ? He’s a chronic, pathological liar. He still doesn’t believe he did anything wrong with his Socialist healthcare scheme in MA.

It is up to us to hold him to his word. If he was influenced by the more liberal constituency he dealt with in Massachusetts, then we can have the same influence on him if we will stand firm and do our job.

Step 1 is to remove Obama. Step 2 is to make the candidate we have to work with do his duty. He was not my guy, but I am going to put my faith in making things better. I hope he finds a place for Newt in his cabinet or inner circle and I hope he will listen to the response Newt got when he told the debate audience he would repeal Obama's executive orders by the number.

You must’ve missed what I said. The man doesn’t CARE what you think. He wasn’t “influenced” by his constituents in Massachusetts. He did what he wanted all by himself. He is a narcissist, and a pathological liar wholly unfit for any office of trust. I might remind you he left office massively unpopular, not exactly the trademark of someone who did precisely what his constituents demanded of him. 4 years of Willard in the White House and we’ll be lucky if we elect an actual Republican for the next 20 years (and we’ll lose Congress in 2014 - you can take that to the bank). Willard’s getting revenge for his daddy on the GOP.

I guess we don’t agree on the potential we have with Romney as an alternative to Obama. We can debate what we do or don’t think about his past, but it’s really a moot point, isn’t it?
I guess it boils down to how many people we might be able to convince to ignore the election and by doing so give3 their votes to Obama.
